The Stamp - Short Film goes online to support efforts in achieving equality in the refugee crisis and honour the memory of our dear and talented (1994-2022), whom we lost way too early.
📢 ANNOUNCEMENT - THE STAMP GOES ONLINE
After almost three years of screening worldwide, The Stamp - Short Film managed to touch the hearts of the festival, television and school audiences. What started as an ambitious student project, turned into an international story aiming to amplify the unheard voices of refugee families. On its journey to emphasize the importance of human rights and security, The Stamp became The Academy Student Academy Awards/Student Oscar Finalist, won more than 10 prestigious awards and nominations, and got screened in more than 30 countries globally, including Oscar-qualifying film festivals.
It is with great sadness the team watches the development of human rights crises globally, resulting in an unexpected rise in refugee numbers, including inequality among refugee groups. By making little steps, such as launching our film across multiple digital platforms and making it available to everyone, especially students and youth, we hope to contribute to the mission of universal equality and peace.
The launch date will follow in the Birthday month of (1994-2022), our dear brother, friend, colleague, team member and a talented filmmaker who left us too early. Originally joining as a part of KAMER A Productions, Greg supported The Stamp as a Script. While his friendship, kindness and incredible support to the team will never be forgotten, we invite everyone to share some laughter and love to honor his name.
Lastly, deepest gratitude goes to every single person, school, organization and company that contributed to this film with the hope that it can keep making the audience think, feel and change the world we have, for the better, while keeping the memory of Gregory Dessin alive.
Thank you all for supporting us on this journey. Stay tuned.
