First session in my new space: DONE !

I really like what the NS10s sound like here.
I need a bigger sub.
Something is rattling and I can't figure it out.

Next steps for the studio :
- acoustic isolation from the garage door and the street
- vocal "booth"
- lights
- finishing touches and fabric covers

First time setting up speakers in my new space !

Lots of work still to be done but it's sounding nice already. Even though it's a temporary space, I feel like it's going to be a big improvement. Can't wait !

First session next week with .music , happy to test out this space with you dude.

Week 2 of building my DIY studio from scavenged materials. So far I've bought a couple of basic power tools and some insulation, all for about 400€.

I'm loving this process, trying to figure out studio plan / workflows / acoustics step by step and keeping as much flexibility as possible.
Feels a bit like producing a song 😂.

Super grateful to have learned from Jesco Lohan from Acoustics Insider, his advice makes everything so much less stressful.

Also thanks to for great chats and explanations about a bunch of concepts that now help me make somewhat ok decisions.

Well, we'll see when it's time to set the speakers up.

- separation wall finished and insulated : -40dB in the mids. Not great but not bad !
- some old matterasses used as background acoustic layer - we'll see how that works
- a few rockwool acoustic pannels put up, to be covered by a fabric draping later

Studio 2024 build - week 1 : dividing a garage into 2 spaces and building a jigsaw but (almost) free wall.
All of the wood here was found for free in the street, other people's trash.

Next step is insulation and acoustic treatment.
