Dear EuroMeds enthusiasts,

The Editorial Team, I would like to announce the call for EuroMeds Autumn Assembly '19 Issue!

In this issue, we will be focusing on " A Medical Curriculum shaped by Medical Students".

As medical students, we are both "raw material" and "finished products" of medical education. We are even affected and effecting economics, sociology, politics of our nations, regions and eventually, globe. Starting from the 1950s, education methods, curriculum development, assessment& evaluation have been studied excessively in national/international communities. These unite with one of the most important aspects of education: student involvement. Starting from local authorities, students can "shout out" on their "fate". In this situation, we will be discussing the key points of student involvement in our educational systems, our curriculums.

in case you haven't checked our Spring Assembly Edition, you are missing a lot!

Dear EuroMeds enthusiast,

The Editorial Team is honored to present the 10th anniversary issue of EuroMeds!

Starting from now, you will be exploring different approaches to medical mobility and migration, the theme of our Spring Assembly ’19 Heidelberg!

In this issue, we have to feature two topics that are highly relevant to healthcare professionals in this highly globalized political climate, Medical Migration and Medical Mobility.
As globalization moves forward, medical professionals have a greater chance for mobility regarding their choice of country to work in. A higher income, better living or working conditions are just some of the many motivations which physicians choose to leave their country for. However, the emigration of medical professionals negatively impacts the health care system in their respective countries of origin. This phenomenon is often called “brain drain”. For us future doctors these issues are of utmost importance. The trends outlined above will increasingly shape our professional environment. As we move on in our lives and careers we want to be able to benefit from the freedom of movement in more and more ways. To ensure this, we need to find ways to overcome the obstacles and difficulties arising from that freedom.
