World Environment Day 🌍

We love spending time in nature and exploring the incredible places our world has to offer.

As a disabled couple, accessing these spaces isn’t always straightforward. Specialist equipment can be expensive, difficult to find, or simply unavailable.

But we’ve learned that inclusion doesn’t always require specialist solutions. Sometimes it’s about adapting what’s available and having people around you who are willing to think differently.

Our adventures might look a little different, but we’d much rather look a little funny than miss out on experiencing the beauty of the world around us.

Nature should be for everyone. 🌿

Two weeks in the Spanish sun! 🇪🇸

Super excited about this upcoming season and seeing all the hard work start to pay off. Forever grateful to Paddle UK for putting their faith in me and taking me to all the cool places around the world - in exchange for a little bit of paddling! 🛶

Christmas season 2025 ❄️

This year felt extra full - family together, abundance of food, carols at different churches and grandparents flown in from thousands miles away!

This one was special and with Xander getting a whole two and a half days off for Christmas (longest yet!), we treasured every minute making memories we’ll hold on ✨

Our 72 hours in Brussels 🇧🇪

Following the final night shift of Xander’s rotation in geriatrics, we decided to hop on a quick train down to the land of waffles and Christmas markets for a jam-packed three days of sightseeing, great food and a heated matches of curling 🥌

It was a great end to the week and couldn’t have been easier to navigate the with our wheelchairs - 10/10 would recommend

P.s. we hope you enjoy the masterpiece stop-motion we created… no better way to spend a 2 hour train journey than playing with LEGO.

… and relax 🧘‍♀️

After an exciting (and very full!) couple of weeks, a peaceful weekend on the Norfolk coast was exactly what we needed to rest and reflect on this whirlwind summer.

From Kirsty finishing her first physio placement, to Xander’s night shifts, to us both competing at two world championships — there’s been a lot to take in!

We’re so grateful for the opportunities this season has brought and can’t wait to hit the ground running (figuratively speaking of course) as we start preparing for the year ahead.

First Women’s Para Ice Hockey World Championships 🇸🇰
✅ GB debut 🇬🇧 ✅ MVP GB vs Canada 🏆 ✅ GB 4th in the world 🌍

What a debut! As a relative newbie, I didn’t know what to expect going up against the best in the world, but I’ve fallen in love with the pace and all-out attitude of this sport. It has been a privilege to put on the GB jersey and I’m proud to have been named MVP in just my second match!

Finishing 4th after a tough battle with Norway is gutting, but it has just ignited the fire to come back stronger next year 💪

I’m grateful to my team mates for welcoming me and looking out for me on the ice! A huge thanks to the coaches and volunteers for the support and for trusting me to step up throughout the week! Finally to for supporting my journey to the world champs!
