🎬 Dans les coulisses de notre prochain documentaire !

L’équipe était récemment sur un bateau, à Terneuzen, pour les premiers repérages de notre prochain long métrage documentaire, 𝑨𝒍𝒍𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒈𝒆𝒏 𝒍𝒆𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏 𝒏𝒂𝒂𝒓 𝑹𝒊𝒆𝒎𝒆, réalisé par David Bert Joris Dhert.

🛤️ Le film nous emmène à Rieme, un village aux portes de Gand, où Emma, 98 ans, demande à son petit-fils David de filmer leur communauté en pleine mutation industrielle. Ensemble, ils capturent les récits de résistance, d’amour et d’imagination d’habitants confrontés à l’expansion des zones industrielles. Un regard intime sur un territoire en transformation, comme tant d'autres en Belgique.

🎥 Le projet est soutenu par le Centre du cinéma et de l’audiovisuel et est en co-production avec La chose à trois jambes.

🎬 Behind the scenes of our next feature documentary !

The film team were recently in Terneuzen, scouting locations by boat for 𝑨𝒍𝒍𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒈𝒆𝒏 𝒍𝒆𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏 𝒏𝒂𝒂𝒓 𝑹𝒊𝒆𝒎𝒆, the first feature documentary by David Bert Joris Dhert.

🛤️ The film takes us to Rieme, a small village near Ghent, where 98-year-old Emma asks her grandson David to film their community as it undergoes major industrial change. In the living room turned editing suite, grandmother and grandson become co-directors, capturing stories of love, displacement, and resistance from locals facing the expansion of the industrial zone.

🎥 Supported by the Centre du cinéma et de l’audiovisuel and coproduced with La chose à trois jambes, this film explores how humanity survives in the face of transformation—across all of Belgium's shifting peripheral landscapes.

Notre nouveau projet court métrage, réalisé par Takeiki Flon et Thomas Schira, est actuellement en phase de post-production, et nous avons récemment passé une belle étape : la session de bruitage !

Un grand merci à F***y Roy pour son superbe travail de sound design, et au studio Agent Brussels pour leur accueil et leur professionnalisme 🙏

Our new short film project, directed by Takeiki Flon and Thomas Schira, is currently in post-production, and we just wrapped up an exciting step : the foley recording session!

🏖️ Vacances scolaires chez RUBIS rime avec... session de repérages ! 🎒🎤

Un petit souvenir de la session de repérages à Echassières pour 𝑽𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔 𝒃𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒔, notre prochain long métrage documentaire réalisé par Maxime Coton, avec François Chambe derrière la caméra.

🎧 Comme toujours, Maxime prend lui-même le son. C’est sa façon de faire : micro à la main, oreille grande ouverte. Enregistrer, capter, accueillir les voix, les silences, les souffles… Une manière très directe (et sensible) d’entrer en lien avec les lieux et avec celles et ceux qui y vivent.

🎬 𝑽𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔 𝒃𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒔 est en développement. Ce n’est que le début de l'aventure !

🏖️ School holidays at RUBIS mean... location scouting time! 🎒🎤

A little memory from our scouting session in the beautiful landscapes of Échassières for 𝑾𝒉𝒊𝒕𝒆 𝒗𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒔, our upcoming feature-length documentary directed by Maxime Coton, with François Chambon behind the camera.

🎧 As always, Maxime records the sound himself. It’s part of his process: mic in hand, ears wide open. Recording, capturing, welcoming voices, silences, and breaths... A direct (and sensitive) way of connecting with the places and the people who live there.

🎬 𝑾𝒉𝒊𝒕𝒆 𝒗𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒔 is currently in development — and this is just the beginning !

✨ 𝐀𝐥𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐦𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐲 𝐚̀ 𝐌𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐜𝐨 ✨

En juillet dernier, notre film 𝑨𝒍𝒈𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒉𝒎𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑩𝒆𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒚 réalisé par Miléna Trivier a été projeté dans le cadre du CineComunidad, un cinéclub itinérant basé à Mexico. L’événement s’est tenu à la Galería Casa Coyoacán, espace culturel associé à la Fondation Pedro Meyer.

📽️ Cette projection a eu lieu en parallèle de l’exposition Virgilio de Pedro Meyer, qui explore les usages de l’intelligence artificielle dans la création artistique — un écho parfait aux thématiques du film.

This past July, our film 𝑨𝒍𝒈𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒉𝒎𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑩𝒆𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒚 directed by Miléna Trivier was screened as part of CineComunidad, a traveling film club based in Mexico City. The event took place at Galería Casa Coyoacán, a cultural space affiliated with the Pedro Meyer Foundation.

📽️ The screening happened alongside the exhibition Virgilio by Pedro Meyer, which explores the use of artificial intelligence in artistic creation — a beautiful resonance with the themes of the film.

Nous n'avons peut-être pas remporté le Prix, mais nous repartons avec de belles rencontres, des échanges inspirants et de nouvelles perspectives pour la suite du projet.

👉 Une belle opportunité pour faire connaître ce projet en développement et rencontrer des partenaires potentiels pour la suite.

𝑭𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒔 ne sera pas produit par RUBIS Productions, mais Maxime est aussi le réalisateur de 𝑽𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔 𝒃𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒔, notre long métrage documentaire actuellement en développement 🎥

🎬 Great news for our director Maxime Coton 🎬

His fiction feature film project 𝑮𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒓𝒖𝒔𝒉 has been selected for the Pitch Session at BRIFF – Brussels International Film Festival 🎉
👉 A fantastic opportunity to present the project and connect with potential partners.

𝑮𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒓𝒖𝒔𝒉 won’t be produced by RUBIS Productions, but Maxime is also the director of 𝑾𝒉𝒊𝒕𝒆 𝒗𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒔, the feature documentary we’re currently developing 🎥

We’re excited to follow the next step of this new project !

✨ [𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐒] — WHITE VEINS GOES TO ESoDoc - European Social Documentary 2025 ✨

A few weeks ago, we submitted our documentary project 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐕𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐬 — directed by Maxime Coton and currently in development — to ESoDoc, and we’re thrilled to share that it has been selected!

Out of 105 applications from 37 countries, 18 participants from 11 different nations were chosen – and we are incredibly proud to be part of this inspiring program.

🇳🇴 The first session took place last week on the stunning island of Sommarøy – a historic site of polar expeditions that proved to be the perfect place for launching new creative journeys in documentary storytelling.

💬 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐕𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐬 is a feature-length documentary exploring the human and environmental impact of the global rush for lithium. It invites us to reflect on our relationship with the Earth and the complexities of the ecological transition.

🤗 We are grateful to Arktisk Film Norge for hosting this session, and to the amazing team of mentors – Joëlle Alexis, Simon Jon Andreasen, Mark Atkin, Sebastian Baurmann, Raimo Lång, Sibylle Kurz and Lena Thiele – for their guidance, generosity and sharp insights throughout the week.

🌀 Les coulisses de la prod : suite des aventures de 𝒀𝒆𝒕 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑭𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒔 🚀

La semaine dernière, Miléna Trivier était au Computers, Privacy and Data Protection - CPDP, une visite inspirante pour le développement de son prochain film.

🎥 𝒀𝒆𝒕 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑭𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒔 (Visages) est un documentaire, né d’une expérience intime, en lien avec les visages. Le CPDP, espace de réflexion sur les usages de l’intelligence artificielle et la reconnaissance faciale, était un terrain fertile pour faire mûrir quelques réflexions.

Last week, Miléna Trivier attended CPDP — an inspiring visit for the development of her upcoming film.

🎥 𝒀𝒆𝒕 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑭𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒔 is a documentary born from an intimate experience, connected to the theme of faces. CPDP, a space for reflection on the uses of artificial intelligence and facial recognition, offered fertile ground for nurturing new ideas.

🎞️ Throwback to our time at AFO60 in Czechia 🇨🇿, where we had the opportunity to pitch 𝒚𝒆𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒔, our upcoming project currently in development.
