Notre projet documentaire 𝑽𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔 𝒃𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒔, réalisé par Maxime Coton, a été pitché lors de la deuxième session à Vilnius, dans le cadre du programme ESoDoc.

Cette expérience nous a permis de présenter le projet en profondeur devant des professionnel.le.s du secteur et de recueillir de précieux conseils pour la suite du développement. Nous repartons avec une vision plus claire et des pistes solides pour la suite de l’aventure.

✨ “𝑾𝒉𝒊𝒕𝒆 𝒗𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒔” goes ESoDoc — second session in Vilnius ✨

Our documentary project 𝑾𝒉𝒊𝒕𝒆 𝒗𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒔, directed by Maxime Coton, was pitched during the second session in Vilnius, as part of the ESoDoc – European Social Documentary programme.

This session gave us the opportunity to dive deeper into the project and receive valuable feedback and guidance from industry professionals. We're coming back inspired and with new insights to strengthen the film’s development.

We would like to thanks again the ESoDoc team, our mentors, and all the participants for their generosity, curiosity, and constructive exchanges 💡

✨ Notre projet documentaire « 𝑬𝒕 𝒑𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒍𝒆𝒔 𝒗𝒊𝒔𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒔 », réalisé par Miléna Trivier, a remporté la bourse RIDM au programme Regards sur les docs !

Grâce à ce prix, notre équipe s’envolera bientôt à Montréal pour participer aux RIDM – Rencontres Internationales du Documentaire de Montréal, un rendez-vous incontournable du cinéma documentaire.

Après le soutien de Sandbox Films au Camp 4Science (AFO), du Centre du Cinéma et de l'Audiovisuel et de la RTBF, cette reconnaissance marque une nouvelle étape pour le film.

« Après la mort de ma mère, je développe une prosopagnosie qui me fait perdre la capacité de reconnaître les visages... »
À travers cette quête intime et scientifique, le film interroge : dans un monde où les algorithmes lisent nos traits mieux que nous-mêmes, que signifie disparaître dans l’anonymat ?

✨ Our documentary project « 𝒀𝒆𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒔 », directed by Miléna Trivier, has won the RIDM Grant at Regards sur les docs !

Thanks to this award, our team will soon fly to Montréal to take part in the RIDM – Rencontres Internationales du Documentaire de Montréal, a key event in the documentary world.

After support from Sandbox Films at Camp 4Science (AFO), Centre du Cinéma et de l'audiovisual and RTBF, this recognition marks an important new step for the film.

« After my mother’s death, I developed prosopagnosia — the inability to recognize faces. Neighbors, friends, familiar actors… all became strangers. »
Through this intimate and scientific journey, the film asks: in a world where algorithms can read our features better than we can, what does it mean to vanish into anonymity?

🎬 Dans les coulisses de notre prochain documentaire !

L’équipe était récemment sur un bateau, à Terneuzen, pour les premiers repérages de notre prochain long métrage documentaire, 𝑨𝒍𝒍𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒈𝒆𝒏 𝒍𝒆𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏 𝒏𝒂𝒂𝒓 𝑹𝒊𝒆𝒎𝒆, réalisé par David Bert Joris Dhert.

🛤️ Le film nous emmène à Rieme, un village aux portes de Gand, où Emma, 98 ans, demande à son petit-fils David de filmer leur communauté en pleine mutation industrielle. Ensemble, ils capturent les récits de résistance, d’amour et d’imagination d’habitants confrontés à l’expansion des zones industrielles. Un regard intime sur un territoire en transformation, comme tant d'autres en Belgique.

🎥 Le projet est soutenu par le Centre du cinéma et de l’audiovisuel et est en co-production avec La chose à trois jambes.

The film team were recently in Terneuzen, scouting locations by boat for 𝑨𝒍𝒍𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒈𝒆𝒏 𝒍𝒆𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏 𝒏𝒂𝒂𝒓 𝑹𝒊𝒆𝒎𝒆, the first feature documentary by David Bert Joris Dhert.

🛤️ The film takes us to Rieme, a small village near Ghent, where 98-year-old Emma asks her grandson David to film their community as it undergoes major industrial change. In the living room turned editing suite, grandmother and grandson become co-directors, capturing stories of love, displacement, and resistance from locals facing the expansion of the industrial zone.

🎥 Supported by the Centre du cinéma et de l’audiovisuel and coproduced with La chose à trois jambes, this film explores how humanity survives in the face of transformation—across all of Belgium's shifting peripheral landscapes.
