🇮🇪 Ahead of the Irish EU Presidency in July 2026, we met with Chambers Ireland & IBEC/Small Firms Association. We are glad to see alignment between our priorities, including on the need to support small firms in their fight against regulatory burden & in promoting an open agenda 🎯

We also met with the National Economic and Social Council of , which in preparation of the Irish EU presidency is working on social . It will be crucial to involve 🇪🇺 in the debate 🤝

🤝 Very valuable exchange in Dublin prior to the 🇮🇪 Irish EU Presidency starting in July 2026.

We discussed our priorities, such as , reduction of regulatory burden & investments in 🇪🇺 European with the Government of Ireland, Irish Foreign Ministry and the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, as well as with the Irish Parliament.

Our message is simple:

📍 Make attractive for investments again
📍 Competitiveness needs opportunities and a functioning public infrastructure 🧱

🗨️ Young entrepreneurs are at the heart of & social agenda. Across the , nearly 40% of young people would be willing to set up their own , yet only around 5-7% does so.

Behind those numbers are thousands of ideas that never become companies, jobs that are never created, and that never reach our citizens. cannot afford to waste that talent 💡

We will keep calling for:

✅ Regulatory
✅ Better access to microfinance
✅ A supportive environment for youth
✅ “Youth tests” in policymaking to ensure that laws and programmes work for young founders, not against them.
