This composition is, for me, really clean and straight to the point. I just want to have a very standard pop style arrangement using modern urban sounds. But I wanted something dark too, and something easy to rap and sing to. I tried to create a simple but intriguing enough piece in its sound design to keep the attention of the listener. Basically, a good song.

I've always felt that the only way to get highly unique samples that would fit your vision is by making them yourself. There are times when I just get into designing the most unheard-of sounds that have the sole purpose of becoming loops and samples. In this piece, I started with this highly modified drum sample, which I can't remember how I created. I composed the rest of the song to fit it's sonically sleek yet rough-around-the-edges feel, and a rhythm that smoothly drives the song from beginning to end.

It's always about getting a strong feel on a song, and when I designed this guitar sample I knew exactly where this was going. I wanted to make an electric guitar based sound that was melancholic but still edgy like in modern rock music, with a mix of that EDM trap feel too that's melodic and easy to sing to.

A guitar trap EDM style beat, call it a type beat, or whatever it is I like it a lot 😬. I started first by making these guitar samples, which were really inspiring, and then I quickly made the rest of the song. The synth designs were a bit tricky though, but it came out packing heat 🔥

I love this style of trap, with more EDM electo feels. I made this when I was listening to a lot of lil U*i Vert 😵 cuz he's got these beats that are so synthetic without many samples, and the sounds are so shiny; it feels like being in a chaotically noisy video game arcade. I just love that feeling.
