Our Summer University ended with a gala dinner to celebrate a week full of ideas, free thinking, and European connections and a powerful keynote by MEP , Vice President of the ECR Party. Thank you for your and support.

After a week of intense work and reflection, we also enjoyed a well-deserved moment of celebration. Because politics is not just about study and debate it’s also about building friendships and creating memories together.

This is how young conservatives grow: with vision, commitment… and a little fun too.

On the final day of the Summer University, students took the stage guided by Maicol Pizzicotti Busilacchi, Senior Project Manager at New Direction.

“EU Lab: from problems to proposals”
Divided into working groups, students brainstormed and drafted concrete policy ideas because conservatism means facing reality and offering viable solutions.

🥾 It was in the heart of the mountains of Haute-Savoie that the day continued, with a hike to the Plateau des Glières, a high place of the French Resistance during the Second World War.

This emblematic site recalls the commitment of those who have chosen to fight for freedom.

Far from being a monolithic ideology, European conservatism is a constellation of traditions shaped by diverse cultural, religious, and national contexts.

In the first panel “Cultural and Religious Roots of Conservatism” we welcomed
Ferenc Hörcher,
Hannes Gissurarson,
Stephen Bartulica MEP, and
Jean Luc Coronel de Boissezon

With them we explored the plural origins of European conservatism, a tradition woven from distinct yet interconnected experiences and beliefs.

The second panel, “National Identity and Conservatism,” offered a look at the history of nation states and the philosophy of patriotism.
