Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya will be among the recipients of the Margaret Thatcher Awards.
Head of the United Transitional Cabinet of Belarus, and President of the Coordination Council, she has emerged as a leading figure of the Belarusian opposition movement. A former teacher and translator, she entered public life when her husband, opposition figure Siarhei Tsikhanouskis was imprisoned by the Lukashenko regime inspiring a peaceful movement that united millions in the fight for freedom and dignity.

Now in exile, she continues to advocate internationally for human rights and solidarity with the Belarusian people. Her moral courage and steadfast resolve have made her a global symbol of resistance to tyranny.

Lord Michael Gove is one of the recipients of the Margaret Thatcher Awards.
A central figure in contemporary British conservatism, Gove has played a decisive role in reforming key areas of public policy. From education and justice to the environment and public administration, leaving a deep and lasting mark on national and European governance.
Before entering Parliament, he worked as a journalist and political commentator; today, he serves as Editor of The Spectator, the oldest magazine in the world and a key voice for the international conservative movement.

The Margaret Thatcher Awards offer us an opportunity to pay tribute to the long-lasting legacy of ’s founding patron, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom , on the hundredth anniversary of her birth. This evening represents a chance to recognise the outstanding contributions of European conservatives and freedom fighters from around the world.
The MTA Awards are a closed-door event and participation is by invitation only. This year the event is fully booked.
