MONTAGE is super happy to anounce the first release of on the label. Club Crépuscule is a 4-tracker of post club beauties. Here’s some background story:
About three years ago, a friend sent us a link to a mysterious SoundCloud account from a new Belgian artist. If I remember correctly, the geo-location of the account was set to Villers-La-Ville, a small town about an hour to the south of Brussels. The music was dark, ravy and tunneling. We were perplexed: how could this type of intense and experimental dance music stay under the radar within such a small country and come from an even smaller town?
The following summer, we organised a free party with the crew in Brussels. In the middle of the forest south of Brussels in a small tunnel under a big highway crossroads we had a night of experimental dancemusic. Even as the police were breaking it up around 5am, we managed to finally meet from Sal De Fête, whom we had been following for some time. It’s here we learned that Emma Dowdy and DJ Würm are the same person and it’s also from this event on we started working together.
We are now thus super happy to announce this release with a first track titled Hello L premiering now via ! Pre~order etc are now up ☀️

ꨄ︎ — After releasing a killer bass EP on MONTAGE under his alterego LinUSB, Linus has been transforming his musical practice more and more towards the abstract and performative. Linus will continue on this strand using his beautiful voice to warm our hearts

♥︎ — another sal-de-fête-tje on the same line-up? After collaborating on a couple really cute raves, we are so happy to bring Mihaïl to our stage. Working both in visual art and music, Flegma Joe brings an absurd taste to hardcore. We’re super eager to see how this translates to deconstructing a love song ?!

`♡´ — we discovered Alicia’s music through some soundcloud diggin and were very hyped to learn she’s in Brussels. She brings rather sounddesigned folk music, just as we like it. Alicia will envelop us in a blanket (or bouquet?!) of tones, perfect to finally confess your love to your crush :o

❤︎ — starchild of the local alternative music scene, Roman Hiele will bring us his signature blend of the softspoken and the absurd. Taking on the alter ego of his most recent album on .tv , we are sure we will also inhale the emotions.

ꨄ︎♥︎ b2b — the beauty and the bass, the heirs of Isengard & Zazaleague, the king and queen of the bounciest of crunchy dancemusic Brussels has. They will provide us with the necessary subfrequencies to feel the butterflies in our stomach anyway.

O yesss, there is more! Here’s our next selection of artists for this saturday at ! 12 live renditions of a 𝓵𝓸𝓿𝓮 𝓼𝓸𝓷𝓰 throughout the night will bring us chaotic good in a romantic setting.

♥︎ — this magick prince from faraway lands brings us no wave for kids who weren’t there for 9/11. Marion is a part of (have you seen them? you should!) and he makes everything between brainmaxxed art research and doomer visual art. We’ve been fans of her work from the first hour!

ꨄ︎ — a word juggler for those who are not concerned by streetcred. A Dutchman might suggest he’s a 𝓌𝑜𝑜𝓇𝒹𝑒𝓃𝒶𝒶𝓇 but not for our night. Alex might bring a slow, might make our hearts ache and might make you find new 𝓵𝓸𝓿𝓮.

`♡´ .95 — The real heads will know we have been with James’ music since a long time. Ever since releasing the brilliant album back in 2019 (collaborative project with .ray.4u for those who didn’t know !), we have been following his new endeavors. Under his alter ego Scouse Jimmy, James will bring us his signature blend of the romantic and the absurd.

♥︎ x — we might be as cheeky to claim this is a MONTAGE-couple, meeting eachother on a night we did in the now defunct ✿◕ ‿ ◕✿. Emeline & Clara bring performative electronics for people who skipped the bro-step era: softspoken but with hard edges. Inspired by everything between field recording and hardcore, we’re super eager to see how they bring a 𝓵𝓸𝓿𝓮 𝓼𝓸𝓷𝓰!

As the g*noc1de boulders on, activists in cities around Europe keep on protesting. At just 30 meters of Beursschouwburg, people have been coming together every night at 19h to raise awareness of the Pal3st1nian cause and to ask for our complicit governments to halt their support of Isr*3l.
Recently, declared Brussels an “anti-fascist” city. However, the police repression towards activists has grown even more violent and spiteful every week, along with censoring any voices in solidarity - as it occurred recently during the Jazz festival (as denounced by ).

In this Assemblée Génerale, we build further upon our last AG at and ask how we can concretely act against this repression. We will work concretely on how we, as cultural workers, can use institutions to mediate between the city and activist causes.

First we join the protest,
Then we think on how we can use institutional privilege to provide access, mediation & safety to the people putting themselves on the front line.
