🇪🇺The EU and MERCOSUR, a South American trade bloc, are close to finalising a major trade agreement that would significantly reduce tariffs between the two regions. The deal aims to expand market access, offer more opportunities for consumers, protect selected products, and strengthen political and economic ties across the Atlantic.
However, the agreement faces strong opposition within the EU. Farmers, especially in France and Poland, fear that cheaper imports of meat could undermine local markets. NGOs have also voiced environmental concerns, warning that increased demand for South American beef and soy could contribute to further deforestation in the Amazon.
The European Commission has attempted to address these issues while the agreement now awaits approval from the European Parliament, the Council, and national parliaments.

Dough: 300 g flour, 80g butter, 1 egg, 1 glass of water, a tablespoon of salt, 1 egg to brush the pastry before the oven
Filling: 1 onion, 3 peppers (red and green),1 carrot, 60 g of spinach, small can of corn , salt, cumin, paprika
