Crossing the universe of sounds and rythms, we'll ease your into Saturday with upfront fresh sounds from across the globe mixed with classic tracks from the deep in the crates. You'll find Afrobeat to Dubstep, obscure Jazz to Minimal Techno, 2 hours of music, a bit of chatter and the odd guest thrown in for good measure - get involved!

The Afternoon Sessions show from 23rd March, dedicated to our dear friend Paddy Macdonald is now available to stream.

A fine selection of really great music, a lot of it from his own collection, hopefully this is a fitting tribute.

There were some audio issue on recording, so I have re-edited it, hence the wait. A few of the in show shoutouts may have gone, so I’ve included a couple of pics of the texts that came in to the studio from people all around the world showing their love.

After a bit of a wait and some back and forth, I finally got my Aeris AM built up and out on the trails.

I took most of the components from the old AM 9, replaced some worn drive train components, and threw in the new Vivid Air shock.

Absolutely amazing bike, feels so much lighter and more nimble than the AM9, geometry feels a bit more compact and manageable, and it’s so nice to have everything working as it should. Jury still out on the shocks, but let’s give it some time. Oh, and have the Mallet E pedals a whirl - very nice.

Big shout to David at Bird for the build, and Dan and Ben for tolerating my impatient badgering.

Bikes are cool.

The Afternoon Sessions this week will be in memory of Patrick ‘Paddy’ Macdonald, who sadly passed away earlier this month.

Paddy was a kind, loveable soul; well travelled and highly intelligent, he was a gifted DJ with a taste in music that was second to none. We connected over many things, especially music, and I discovered so much from him, which is why his DJ mixes featured on the show.

Last weekend myself a 3 others found out Paddy had left his record collection to us, so I now have the joy of being able to share this enviable collection with our listeners over the coming months (years most likely!)

In his honour, and I will be broadcasting a couple of Paddy’s mini mixes, plus a selection of tracks that he loved.

You can catch this special show from 3-5pm Sat 23rd March on .
