Circuit voor model auto's De vzw. Model Race Genk is in 2000 opgericht met als doel de model race hobby te promoten. MRG vzw.

Dit doel wil de club voornamelijk verwezenlijken door het voorzien in de nodige accommodatie en het inrichten van wedstrijden. Omdat een buiten circuit moeilijk snel te realiseren was, is MRG in 2000 gestart met indoor rijden in de Broederschool van Genk (enkel electro klassen). Na 3 jaar werking was het aantal leden reeds stevig aangegroeid tot een 60 piloten. De club was gedurende 4 jaar medeorg

anisator van het Limburgs electro kampioenschap. Door de dalende belangstelling voor het indoor rijden te Genk, vanwege het ontstaan van enkele permanente indoor circuits, en de oplopende kosten voor de huur van de sporthal, heeft MRG in 2006 beslist zich enkel te richten op het project voor het realiseren van een outdoor piste. Doelstelling: Een outdoor-circuit in Genk verwezenlijken en deze laten groeien tot een trekpleister voor de automodelsport in Limburg. Op dit circuit worden dan clubwedstrijden, Belgische kampioenschappen en internationale wedstrijden georganiseerd. Op deze manier kan de lokale jeugd betrokken worden bij de modelsport en kan MRG de karting en motorcross clubs aanvullen. is lid van FBA vzw. , de Belgische automodelbouw federatie.
