Time to look back! 👀

About one year ago, psychfolk misfits De Regering Van Treffelijke Zaken released "Melle-Aan-Zee" on Bandcamp. I released the album on cassette tape (along with their other collection of jams "Hara Jamar") and assembled all of them manually, tapes sold-out in no time and just a few months later the album got re-released on vinyl by the fantastic and .

Today, I am still buzzing when I hear the remastered audio, especially the vinyl record. It's ridiculous how good Chris Hardman got these jams to sound anything close to coherent, given the rather unconventional (not to say plainly foolish) way these jams were recorded in the first place. You know, it wasn't about having great recordings at all, it was about getting and playing together first and foremost. FYI, there are still records available in the UK and the US through earlier mentioned labels. We sold out our copies.

Recorded in summer, in a sweltering hot attic room with just a few mics and a setup that promised and ultimately delivered some happy accidents, these spontaneous, improvised pieces are now eternalized in physical grooves. Thanks a lot to both Cardinal Fuzz and FEEDING TUBE RECORDS for reaching out and making this happen!
