We finally celebrated our years of beautiful collaboration with Stien in company of some artists with whom she had a close working relationship.

‘I must drink all the water’ Valgerður Sigurðardóttir

Take this as the best advice while the Icelandic artist prepares her solo exhibition in Reykjavik

The book - published by Posture Editions - features a number of drawings of childlike families, automobiles, speechless parrots, a foot on the accelerator, colourful tents and a dog on the run. A woman looks in the mirror or turns her gaze away from the book.
Vala shapes this universe with pencil or oil pastel on paper and with glaze on ceramics.
Koen Sels writes about drawing, thinking and dreaming.

We’re happy to share that we were recently able to recover a small stock of Paul Gees’ book “Ohne Warum”, a 2012 publication that had been out of print with us for many years.
It is a book from the Posture early years that offers a selective overview of the rich work of sculptor, performer and draughtsman Paul Gees (b. 1949).

We are happy to announce that our book “oei” by Guy Rombouts received the 2nd price, ‘mention spéciale du jury, Prix Bob Calle du livre d’artiste 2025’.

Ceremony, opening party and exhibition at Beaux Arts de Paris.
Thanks to Carine Bienfait for the nomination and thanks to the association Prix Bob Calle.

The whole selection of 50 nominated books will be exhibited during one month at the Bibliothèque des Beaux-Arts de Paris.

After many years of working together, Stien decided to leave the Posture Editions team. She worked first as an intern and later as a committed permanent member.

We thank her for the many great moments and productive cooperation. She (and Fabio!) helped us build the publishing house into a solid player, and - without realising it most of the time - unsuspectingly cut the knot in difficult decisions.
We wish her all the best and are sure she will inspire many more people with her positive attitude in the future.

If you want to greet Stien, you can find her on Saturday afternoon at the Posture Editions booth of Ghent Art Book Fair.
The fair is open Sat 3 + Sun 4 May from 11-18:00

This spring, Posture Editions presents the new book with the Icelandic artist Valgerður Sigurðardóttir (1992, Reykjavik): ‘I must drink all the water’.

In a seemingly naive way, Vala—shortened from Valgerður— depicts the extremely mundane and ordinary to the point of absurdity. Small scenes of people at the dinner table, a family in the car or on a boat, a woman in bath ...  Vala’s work falls back on very personal memories, dreams and fantasies that cling to small things rather than big stories.

The book that Posture Editions will publish with Vala shows drawings on paper and an extensive series of ceramic she made from 2023 till now.
Koen Sels writes an implicit text on the formative power of dreams and drawing.

The book coincides with the artist’s first institutional exhibition at Ásmundarsalur in Reykjavík (opening 28.06.2025) and will also be available at Antwerp Art Weekend (29.05-01.06).

The bright red linen that Walter Swennen chose for (what the body can do) covers a book that begins with a short orientation by the artist himself and ends with a deeply crafted text by artist and writer Tom Mason.
Between the texts 40 works are pictured, sheets of paper covered with paint that Swennen used as a palette, or to test out layers for paintings. These sheets are things that are made, made by the body.
