Yesterday was ‘World Rhino Day’, a day to celebrate these incredible creatures. Unfortunately, this event has become a day where rhinos cannot be celebrated anymore without shining light on the cruelties they suffer. All species of rhinoceros suffer intensive poaching and are at the brink of extinction. It is therefore that Records Against Poaching will raise money for an organization that fights this crisis on the front line in Africa. Our friends from the Rhino Pride Foundation develop sustainable solutions for aiding, rescuing and protecting the endangered rhinos in South-Africa. All revenues raised through the R.A.P. platform (by selling music, organizing events and designing T-shirts) will be transferred to the RPF Trust. Together we can help Dr. Jana Pretorius and her incredible team to further expand the RPF sanctuary and develop protected areas for this magnificent species ❤

Another documentary has been made...
about animals going extinct
about majestic species that once lived
about creatures, our children will never see

The last male northern white rhino died in 2018, leaving his species no chance to reproduce, unable to further exist.
This species has become, like many other, a victim of poaching.

It's time to rise...
against the insatiable demand for animal products
against the socioeconomic pressure driving people into poaching

It's time to raise money...
to support organisations tackling illegal wildlife hunting
by donating to our R.A.P. label
soon

Why raise money for anti-poaching initiatives?

Poaching is so much more than the illegal killing and/or trade of wild animals. Next to the direct harm it does to individual animals and populations, it also affects communities and global health. Poaching has even been linked to armed militia groups in Africa suspected of trafficking ivory to fund their wars.

Wildlife crime is the fourth largest transnational organised crime in the world, after narcotics, human trafficking and weapons and it's time to do something about it.

Read everything you need to know about poaching here.

Illegally taking animals from the wild threatens many species with extinction.

Today is a good day to shine light on the mission of Records Against Poaching.

It's World Elephant Day, an international annual event dedicated to the preservation and protection of the world's elephants.

Unfortunately, elephant numbers are declining fast. Despite a ban on the international trade in ivory, African elephants are still being poached in large numbers.

Yes, this is what you see on the picture...

Elephants are poisoned or shot, after which poachers chop of their heads in order to leave no trace at the crime scene.
Their tusks, made of ivory, are smuggled to Asia to be turned into ornaments, a symbol of wealth for many Chinese & Vietnamese people.

To fight this crisis, Records Against Poaching will fundraise money through the sale of donated tracks. That's right, by buying our music you can help protect and preserve these beautiful creatures.

Soon, our first album will be launched & ready to purchase!

All revenues will be donated to conservation initiatives around the globe, fighting against the illegal hunting of elephants and many other species.

Keep an eye on this page & don't miss our first release!

What is Records Against Poaching all about?
Find out during the coming weeks!

Part 1 - Why?

We are in the middle of the sixth mass extinction. Maybe you’ve heard of it. Animals all over the globe are disappearing one by one, minute by minute. The humankind is flourishing on our beautiful planet, but unfortunately, we haven’t found a way yet to coexist with nature and its wildlife. Species are going extinct at a rate that has never been seen before.

One of the many reasons why numbers are declining is wildlife crime. The illegal hunting, also called poaching, of magnificent creatures like elephants, rhinos, lions, tigers and pangolins are putting populations under enormous pressure. It’s already known that some populations have already reached a tipping point and will never recover from the extensive poaching they have suffered.

Animal parts such as ivory tusks, rhino horns, pangolin scales, tiger and lion bones are exported from jungles, savannas and deserts to Western and Eastern countries to be crafted into ornaments or used in traditional medicine.

Are we really going to keep on slaughtering these animals for a medicine that doesn’t work?
For a necklace made of dentine - the same material as your teeth?
For a drinking cup made out of keratin - the same material as your fingernails?
