🥾Want to combine your Valencia city trip with a day outside the city? There are plenty of amazing options! I explored some great places, ranging from just 20 to 50 minutes away from the city. 1️⃣🌿Just 10 kilometres from Valencia, you’ll find the beautiful natural area of L’Albufera. A place where you can walk through forests and dunes, spot hundreds of bird species, and completely escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
It’s also home to Spain’s largest freshwater lake, surrounded by endless rice fields. This is where the famous paella was born, and the tradition is still alive today. A unique combination of nature, culture, and history that is definitely worth discovering!
2️⃣🍷Requena is a charming historic town, but most visitors come here for one thing in particular: w**e. The Utiel-Requena region is the most important w**e area in the province of Valencia and is known for its excellent w**es.
Thanks to its high-altitude vineyards and long w**emaking tradition, you’ll find dozens of unique w**eries here. One of the most beautiful places to visit is the historic Murviedro w**ery. Beneath the old town, you can explore centuries-old underground cellars and discover the rich history of w**emaking in this region. A unique experience that literally takes you back in time!
3️⃣🥾Looking for a beautiful hike during your Valencia city trip? Then make sure to add the route of the hanging bridges of Chulilla to your list! Just 50 minutes from the city, you can hike through an impressive canyon, cross two hanging bridges, and enjoy spectacular views.
Before or after your hike, the charming medieval village of Chulilla is the perfect place to wander around and enjoy some food or drinks!
