It saddens us to learn that WWII veteran Mr. Bradford Freeman passed away. Freeman, who served in a mortar squad of the 101 Airborne Division in Europe, was the last living soldier of Easy Company of the 506 Parachute Infantry Regiment, subject of the popular HBO series Band of Brothers.
Our condolences go to his family and his friends.
A decorated Marine veteran of the Vietnam War and Lebanon, actor and author, Dye is the founder and head of Warriors, Inc., a technical advisory company specializing in portraying realistic military action in Hollywood films.
Recently the USMC CAPT appeared as a main guest on The Bunker Boys Show, a brand new WW2 online talkshow to talk about his career in the military, leadership and film productions he and his company has worked on. (Platoon- Saving Private Ryan- Born on the fourth of July- The Pacific- The Great Raid- Star Trek- Band of Brothers-Natural Born Killers- …).
To the veterans surprise, what seemed like just another interview turned out to be a tribute to his work and life …. .
Ed Cottrell, what a man!
When a witness to one of the most brutal battles in recent history opens her home and her heart to warmly welcome US WWII veterans, one realizes that there still is love in this messed up world. At the age of 4, Josisne had a skin tumor removed by an American surgeon during the Battle of the Bulge.
Today marks the 20th anniversary of the premiere of the HBO series Band of Brothers which inspired a countless number of people to learn more about WWII and the units involved.
TOURS-The past decades it has been an honor to host a countless number of WWII veterans and their families on the battlefields, a pleasure to show the Band of Brothers cast members around and to be the guide for a delegation of the White House during POTUS’ visit to NATO HQ and the US Presidential Helicopter Squadron HMX-1. Also I thoroughly enjoyed all the people who used my services because they had a profound interest in WWII history. The past year and a half has been terrible because of COVID-19, but starting up again, one step at the time and hopefully at full speed in a few weeks/months from now. Can’t wait to share the stories again of the men who gave their today for our tomorrow.
!!Don’t forget to book your Battle of the Bulge Tour!!
