GLE 350 d 4MATIC boasts an output of 200 kW (272 hp) and 600 Nm of torque (combined fuel consumption: 7.5-6.9 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 198-184 g/km)1. It is particularly clean, too: Thanks to its enhanced exhaust after treatment with an additional underfloor SCR catalyst, this is the first Mercedes-Benz model to be certified to the Euro 62 d standard incl. RDE level 2, which will not become mandatory for new models until 1.1.2020.

The exterior design of the new Mercedes-Benz GLE not only exudes presence and power but also sets a new standard for aerodynamics in the SUV segment, with a Cd figure of 0.29. The SUV trendsetter is full of innovations. For example, the active suspension system E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL on a 48-volt basis is a world first. The new driver assistance systems further increase the level of active safety. The interior is even more spacious and comfortable, with a third seat row available on request. The infotainment system boasts larger screens and MBUX Interior Assist, which can detect hand and arm movements to assist with control functions. On market launch in early 2019, the GLE will feature a completely new range of eight and six-cylinder petrol engines and four and six-cylinder diesels. At a later stage a plug-in hybrid with a particularly long range will be added to the drive portfolio. The new 4MATIC ensures great agility on the road and superior performance off the beaten track. Prices of the new GLE in Germany begin at 65,807 euros (including 19% VAT).

BMW 2 Series 218i Gran Coupe 2020

The success story of four-door BMW coupes began in 2012 with the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe, which was followed two years later by the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe. The new BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe has been available since September 2019. And the market launch of the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe in early 2020 will complete the family line-up. Market launch will get underway in March 2020, with prices in Germany starting at €31,950 for the BMW 218i (fuel consumption combined: 5.7 – 5.0 l/100 km [49.6 – 56.5 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions combined: 131 – 114 g/km*), €39,900 for the BMW 220d (fuel consumption combined: 4.5 – 4.2 l/100 km [62.8 – 67.3 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions combined: 119 – 110 g/km*) and €51,900 for the rangetopping BMW M235i xDrive.

The 2-series Gran Coupe is an all-new model in the BMW lineup
It’s transverse-engined and front-wheel drive – or AWD in the case of the M235i xDrive. It has the same suspension and dash as the 1 Series.

BMW fits the new models with the latest driver assistance tech, including Blind Spot Detection, Frontal Collision Warning with City Collision Detection, and Lane Departure Warning. Adaptive LED headlights featuring variable light distribution and cornering lights.

Its main rival is the similarly style-focused Mercedes CLA, but it also counts cars such as the Volkswagen Arteon and Audi A5 Sport back.

This ain’t Mercedes’ first SUV. Indeed, the Mercedes GLE that you see here is just the latest in a long line of luxury SUVs from the German brand. The M Class first went on sale back in 1998, being renamed GLE in 2015.
Chic interior, seven seats, and an impressive line up of petrol and diesel engines, plus a plug-in hybrid option for those who want to go green
In 2020, Mercedes introduced the GLE 350 DE plug-in hybrid. This time Mercedes has combined a diesel engine with the electric motor. Together the system produces 316bhp, which is enough for a 0-62mph (ca. 100 km/h) time of 6.8 seconds. The 23.4 kWh battery allows an impressive electric range of 66 miles (ca. 106 km), and recharging takes three-and-a-quarter hours from a 7.2kW wall box.

Rivals such as the Audi Q7, BMW X5, Range Rover Sport, and Volvo XC90
