A melancholic new wave synth track with echoes of mid-80s Human League, modern 2026 vocal techniques, and a story soaked in longing.

A haunted investigator.
Rain, trauma, release.
And the revelation that sometimes disappearance is just another form of survival.
Intercut with this cinematic narrative is a powerful live-style performance by the band—black leather, sharp new wave looks—and a hypnotic mime figure with a red collar, channeling the spirit of Steve Strange in Fade To Grey.

🖤 BINARY SOUNDS RETURNS 🖤

It’s been quiet for a while — not by choice.
Earlier this year we lost a main studio computer and with it a large amount of data. Some of it is gone forever… but some has finally been recovered. Enough to let us continue where we left off.

After almost 5 months, Binary Sounds is ready to move forward again.

Our first new release back is something special.

FrontPage – “Tears Run Dry”

FrontPage first appeared in 1993 on Belgium’s legendary Inside Records with “The Journalist” — a release now regarded as a groundbreaking new beat / house classic.
This new track reconnects with that post–new beat spirit, but takes a different path.

Instead of a rap hook, Tears Run Dry features a fully sung lead vocal, performed by a real vocalist and carefully enhanced using modern AI vocal tools — old soul, new technology.

Musically, it leans deep into new wave / new romantic territory, echoing the emotional synth pop of Soft Cell and The Human League, while still carrying that unmistakable late-80s European mood.

Honestly?
It sounds like a serious club-banger of the year… 1988.
