It's drone day today (https://droneday.org) So from 2010 album "Build on Me" by my alias Distant Fires Burning here's "Oppression" a drone made with the jazzbass a great fuzz, some chorus and the first of my Max MSP effects.

The music represents the deterioration in oppression. (something the people in Gaza, Ukraïn and other places in the world encounter daily).

It's the time of the year again.

Distant Fires Burning presents "Saudade", a mesmerizing tribute to ambient legends Tetsu Inoue, Pete Namlook, and now re-issued in memory of Arni "Futuregrapher" Gretar. Originally released on Móatún 7 から Tetsu Inoue へ (Móatún 7, 2023), the track channels loss, legacy, and deep emotion. All proceeds support the mental health initiative, Te Gek!? in Belgium—honoring the past while helping the present. This is why this is the birthdaytrack of 2025. It remains pay-what-you-want till another birthdaytrack takes over next year.
