La durabilité… N’est-ce pas un coût inutile ?!

En ces temps incertains, les sustainability managers et autres acteurs de la durabilité sont mis à rude épreuve. Bah, le climat… Et si on investissait plutôt dans le profit à court terme ? Eh bien, la réponse est claire : N*O*N ! Ceux qui ne regardent qu’à court terme ne voient pas plus loin que le bout de leur nez. Et ils se feront dépasser par les organisations qui continuent d’investir dans la durabilité. Pourquoi ?

👉 Investir dans la durabilité réduit structurellement les risques liés aux matières premières, prix de l’énergie, bouleversements géopolitiques…
👉 Les clients et partenaires attendent de plus en plus des entreprises qu’elles fassent preuve de vision, respect et engagement. Ne pas évoluer dans ce sens aujourd’hui, c’est perdre des parts de marché demain.
👉 La durabilité rapporte aussi sur le plan du talent : les collaborateurs sont plus fidèles aux entreprises porteuses de vision, ils travaillent mieux et sont moins souvent absents, comme le démontre la recherche.

Bref : la durabilité n’est pas un coût, mais un levier stratégique.
Chez Time4Society, nous le savons depuis longtemps : voilà déjà 10 ans qu’en partenariat avec la FEB-VBO, nous mettons à l’honneur ceux qui donnent vie à la durabilité dans leur organisation.

🥳Fêtons cela tous ensemble le 23 avril, lors de la “10 Year Sustainability Professional Celebration” : une soirée festive où nous célébrerons tous les lauréats et finalistes des éditions passées, et où nous dévoilerons le concept renouvelé pour les années à venir.

Duurzaamheid… Dat is toch maar een onnodige kost?!

Zeker in deze woelige tijden hebben Sustainability managers en al wie bezig is met duurzaamheid het hard te verduren. Ach, het klimaat… Laten we liever investeren in wat op korte termijn winst opbrengt, niet? Wel, het antwoord is overduidelijk: N*E*E*N! Wie enkel naar de korte termijn kijkt, mist het grotere plaatje. En organisaties die blijven investeren in duurzaamheid hebben het bij het rechte eind. Waarom?

👉Investeren in duurzaamheid verlaagt structureel de risico’s verbonden aan energieprijzen, grondstoffen, geopolitieke verschuivingen…
👉Daarnaast verwachten klanten en partners steeds vaker – en terecht – een houding die getuigt van visie, respect en engagement. Wie vandaag niet meebeweegt, verliest morgen marktaandeel.
👉Ook op talentvlak maakt duurzaamheid het verschil: medewerkers zijn trouwer aan bedrijven met visie, halen betere resultaten en zijn minder vaak afwezig, zoals onderzoek bevestigt.

Kortom: duurzaamheid is geen kost, maar een strategische hefboom.
Bij Time4Society weten we dat al langer; al 10 jaar zetten we samen met VBO-FEB mensen in de kijker die duurzaamheid écht doen landen in hun organisatie.

🥳Dat gaan we samen vieren op 23 april op de “10 Year Sustainability Professional Celebration”: een feestelijke avond waar we alle winnaars en finalisten van de voorbije jaren vieren én het vernieuwde concept voor de komende jaren voorstellen.

A "Small Win" at in Valencia!

It was a highlight for Trendhuis to present our paper, "The Joy of Small Wins," during Day 2 of the conference. Our session focused on how practical nudging strategies can help educators take manageable, effective steps toward digital innovation in teaching.

Beyond our own session, we continued exploring the parallel sessions, meeting colleagues from different institutions, and discovering new projects throughout the conference.

We wrapped up the trip on Day 3 with a bus tour of Valencia, discovering the city’s landmarks—a nice way to see the sights before heading home.

Following our Erasmus+ project, Nudging 360, Trendhuis attended an inspiring and well-organised day at in Valencia. Congratulations to the organisers for such a seamless event!

We listened to the plenary sessions on AI in education and EdTech versus TechEd, explored several parallel sessions, and visited the poster hall, discovering interesting projects from other participants.

Tomorrow, we will present our paper: 'The joy of small wins, how nudging turns digital reluctance into educator energy.'

Digital change doesn’t have to feel like a giant leap. 🌱

At INTED2026 — the 20th International Technology, Education and Development Conference — Trendhuis will present Nudging 360° and our paper, The joy of small wins.

We show how small, practical nudges help educators gain confidence and curiosity — one tiny win at a time.

Bij Trendhuis koppelen we het nuttige graag aan het aangename. Januari is de ideale maand om al onze toffe projecten eens te overlopen en om gezellig samen te zitten.

Work hard? Zeker wel! Play hard? Nee hoor, gewoon lekker eten en drinken, babbelen en lachen. En in sommige gevallen, de fotograaf negeren omdat het eten van Filipino Bites - Belgium er zo goed uitziet. 😋😊
