Copenhagen’s has become a summer staple for the global design scene. This year’s edition (June 18–20) delivered bold colours, tactile materials and thoughtful collaborations. We spotted many familiar faces, but here’s three Benelux brands that caught our eye:
1. Jeroen De Ruddere
Belgian designer Jeroen De Ruddere presented his full collection of handcrafted interior objects and lighting for the first time in Copenhagen. Working with noble materials like oak, walnut, mahogany, and solid bronze, he creates sleek yet warm pieces that balance function and sculpture. The CL140, FL4, FL5 (including the FL5 Bronze), and SL170 show a deep respect for craft and form. Each object is made by hand and carries a strong, timless presence.
2. Auping × Teklan
Dutch bed-maker Auping teamed up with Swedish colour specialist Tekla Evelina Severin ( ) to launch ‘Characters by Teklan.’ With bold new bedroom colours like Burgundy, Mustard, Pastille Green, and matching reversible textiles, the collection treats colour as a character. Burgundy brings refinement, Mustard feels cozy, and Pastille Green bursts with youthful energy. Debuting in Copenhagen and arriving in stores this autumn, it proves that personal expression belongs in the bedroom, too.
3. Bieke Casteleyn
Belgian designer Bieke Casteleyn, trained in Ghent and Milan, was selected for Design / Dialogue by Ark Journal. Her ongoing Out of Line series, which explores form, texture and materiality through cement plaster, suede leather and high-gloss finishes, continues to evolve. After introducing a sofa collection in 2024, she presented new sculptural pieces in 2025: calm, confident, and rooted in quiet contrast, much like the atmosphere of Copenhagen that inspired them.
