The Belgian American Football Officials Committee This is the official page of BAFOC, organisation for American football officials in Belgium.

This page will be used to distribute information to the Belgian football scene and its officials: gameday information, crews, rule changes, rules remarks, game observations and much more. HOWEVER: all official communication will remain via email and phone via the president of BAFOC and the crew assigner! This site is purely intended to create better understanding of football, its rules and to incr

ease the level of officiating and playing in Belgium through mutual understanding and exchange of information and constructive criticism. The retirement of a legendary belgian official is now a fact. He was celebrated yesterday and deservedly so on the field of the Ostend Pirates .

Thank you so much W***y De Jonghe for everything you did for belgian football and in particular officiating. As one of the founding fathers of BAFOC, we can not thank you enough for all the amazing people you brought together sharing the same passion as you have on the field.

This is not a farewell but a see you around!

A new year means new rules and of of the bigger rule changes is the blocking below the waist.

The 2023 IFAF tackle rulebook has now been published.

The book (in various formats) can be accessed from the IAFOA website at http://www.myiafoa.org/rules/ifaf2023/index.htm
There is also a document there that summarises the major rule changes.
Any errors detected will be noted in the errata list.

Printed copies will shortly be available through Lulu.com but I am awaiting delivery of the proof copies before making them generally available.
