By now the barrel of beer has been carried to Saint Michael and Gudula Cathedral in Brussels in ceremony and it has been blessed to the sound of singers and horns - it's Belgian beer culture in all its finery (see the video below of the 2018 ceremony). Belgian Beer Weekend is upon us, with the Belgian Brewers association and the Knighthood of the Brewers’ Paddle paying tribute to Saint Arnould, the patron saint of brewers. This is followed by a few other ceremonies, knighthoods and the opening of about 50 brewers serving brews at Grand Place, a kick off of the weekend.
