After 18 days of patience it is bow finally the moment to polish the laquer of my amazing shell pink tele

Ok painting done. It really is Shell Pink !
Now i need to stay away for 16-20 days before polishing and really relicing this baby …

And yes after carefully preparing my telecaster with wood grain filler and a prime paint, it is time for the colour. And what colour it is: i went for the infamous Shell Pink
The origin of Fender’s custom colors came from the automobile industry, and so the pink DeSoto road cruisers became the template for “Shell Pink”. This finish is the rarest of all custom colors and was only listed in the Fender catalog between 1960 and 1963.
