Thank you to all of you who make the job possible 💙 Today we want to pay tribute to everyone who is part of the chain from order to fully installed interior solution.

🧑‍💻 Over a hundred people work in logistics at Kinnarps. As soon as an order is received, work begins to plan production and delivery so that the interior solution is delivered and installed on time. Even during furniture production, it’s already determined when it will be delivered, by which truck, and where in the truck it will be placed.

⚙️ Most of our furniture is produced in our state-of-the-art production units in Kinnarp, Skillingaryd, Jönköping, and Tranås, Sweden. Our production is order-based, meaning we only produce what is truly needed. As you might expect, large parts of the factory are now automated, especially when it come to internal logistics. But at the end of the day, it’s still all about genuine craftsmanship.

💪 Our loading staff ensures that furniture is loaded into the truck in the order it will be unloaded at the customer’s site. The furniture is mainly packed using reusable blankets and cardboard sheets, avoiding 270 kg of single-use packaging per container. The vehicles are custom-built with higher internal loading heights, allowing more furniture to fit compared to standard trucks.

🔧 Once everything is loaded and ready, our delivery staff take over. They are both professional drivers and experienced assemblers, enabling us to deliver and install the interior solution in a single visit, causing minimal disruption to operations.

All of this is the result of a delivery methodology we’ve been perfecting since 1959 – where many people are involved so that we can deliver long-term sustainability, quality and resource efficiency!

All of this is the result of a delivery methodology that we have developed and refined since 1959 – where many people are involved so that we can deliver long-term sustainability, quality and resource efficiency!

THANK YOU 💙

"Modern, attractive and sustainable in the long term at AstraZeneca 🤝

When the number of employees increased within a fairly short period of time, AstraZeneca’s Nordic marketing company in Stockholm was faced with a need to find new premises. But not to a place far away, in fact just over the road to the Forskaren building.

In August 2024 they moved into the building, which has a vision to be a place where world-leading operators in the fields of academia, healthcare and business can meet and share knowledge.

Following the move, most employees are choosing to spend more of their working hours in the office than before. This success is the result of a clear vision, thorough preparatory work and close collaboration between AstraZeneca and Kinnarps.

Did you know that delivery routes for our blue trucks are optimised using an advanced route planning system, which is linked to production? Each truck is manned by our Kinnarps fitters. On delivery, they carry in the furniture, unpack it and assemble it, leaving everything nice and tidy ready for you to use.

And! During summer times, we continue to produce and deliver products to you just as usual 💙

Volvo Trucks' new headquarters in Ecser, Hungary, sets a benchmark for sustainable and people-centred workplaces in Eastern Europe. With its climate-neutral operations, the 5,500 m² facility reflects the company’s commitment to innovation, people, and environmental responsibility.

The new headquarters is more than just an office; it is a multifunctional hub that includes a truck and bus service centre, a training and examination facility, and a dedicated customer area. Sustainability is integrated into every aspect of the building – from a solar park and heat recovery ventilation, to the use of green energy and water from their own well.

Volvo Trucks partnered with Kinnarps to realise the vision of a flexible workplace that prioritises wellbeing and efficiency, as well as a strong sense of brand identity.

A wide range of activities take place in an office during the day. Projects, individual tasks, phone calls and various types of meetings – all require their own level of focus and supportive interiors to create the best possible conditions.

Let us inspire you with a variety of different types of project spaces.

A project space can be designed in many ways, but common features include supporting creativity, collaboration and efficiency. With smart technology and flexible solutions, a project workspace can easily be adapted to the needs of the task at hand.

What is required of a project space at your workplace to support ongoing projects?

We’re switching to Nordic Swan Ecolabelled fuel for our transports!

As of April 14, the fuel at the Kinnarp filling station is both Nordic Swan Ecolabelled and renewable – a change that will further reduce emissions from our transport operations.

The new fuel, Preem Redefine HVO100, produces 17% lower greenhouse gas emissions than the renewable fuel we previously used (and a full 90% compared to regular diesel!)

By further reducing the climate impact of our transports, we contribute to more sustainable sourcing for our customers – while taking important steps towards our own climate goals and ambitions: to halve emissions by 2030 and to achieve climate neutrality by 2050.

💭 What does ""renewable"" mean?

The fact that something is renewable means that it comes from sources that are constantly renewed, i.e. never run out. Renewable fuel does not come from fossil oil pumped out of the ground, but is produced from oil that comes from the plant and/or animal kingdom. Preem Redefine HVO100 is produced in Gothenburg, Sweden, and consists mainly of animal fats, pinetree oil, cooking oil and waste products from the food industry.

From church to office – acoustics and sustainability in focus. We helped Publicis Sapient create a long-term sustainable and attractive workplace!

The unique premises, which used to be a church, add an atmospheric touch to the office, but also pose a major challenge in terms of the sound environment. Claudia Brodlova, Associate Finance at Publicis Sapient, explains that the acoustics were one of the biggest challenges when creating the new spaces.

“Before Kinnarps redesigned our spaces, the noise level in the office was high. When people were talking, the whole room echoed, making your head feel tired and making it difficult to concentrate”

“Kinnarp’s interior design solution did wonders for the sound environment. You can clearly notice the difference,"" she explains

At our production unit in Skillingaryd, Sweden, the spirit of craftsmanship is alive and well! This is where we primarily manufacture products with padding and fabric. The team consists of 240 employees, around 200 of whom work directly on the production floor.

Can you guess what’s being made in the video? Here’s a clue: it’s the frame of a very popular product, a product that can help create a better sound environment... 👂

Naturally, large parts of the production unit are automated today – especially the internal logistics, with automated systems that manage and distribute materials to the right person and workstation, precisely when needed.

But in the end, much of it still comes down to genuine craftsmanship! Human skill and experience go into assembling, sewing, or upholstering the details with the quality that’s expected 💙

💡 Did you know that we only spend an average of 32% of our working time focused at our desks? That’s what the combined data from our workplace analyses shows!

And the rest of the time? We move around the office – often in spaces where ergonomics might not always keep up. Many of us, for instance, spend a significant amount of time in different types of meeting rooms!

👉 That’s why ergonomics shouldn’t be limited to the desk!

Sitting is often necessary for focus and productive work – but that doesn’t mean we have to sit still. Capella X is a task chair designed to support positive movement and active sitting – and it works just as well in a meeting room setting.

Small movements make a big difference; For your efficiency, health and wellbeing.

What about your workplace – does ergonomics move with you?

We are growing older. And the need for care environments for the elderly is unlikely to diminish. But how should they be designed to give us the good quality of life we deserve in our twilight years?

Helle Wijk, professor of nursing at the University of Gothenburg and visiting professor of healthcare architecture at Chalmers University has been researching this subject for many years. And the findings are clear – certain aspects of the physical care environment are crucial to the wellbeing of older people.

It’s about the freedom of choice and stimulation, the right lighting and colour. And: A person-centred and homely care environment creates the best conditions for well-being, according to Helle Wijk.

So how well-designed are our care homes? We met with Helle Wijk, who shared the most important findings – and why they seldom become reality.
