What if history repeats itself? (Bitcoin long-cycle overlay) 📉➡️📈
I did a simple experiment: I overlaid two Bitcoin periods on top of each other to compare moves over a longer horizon.
The green line is the long reference curve: it starts in late 2018 and runs until February 5, 2026 (roughly 7 years).
What I find interesting is how closely the structure “rhymes” across the two phases: major expansion, topping/transition, drawdown, and then a slower base-building phase before the next push higher.
If history were to repeat itself (big if), one possible path would be:
more downside first, potentially towards the $50–55k region,
followed by a longer period of slow recovery / consolidation,
and eventually new all-time highs later on.
⚠️ This is not a prediction and definitely not financial advice. Overlays can look convincing even when the market regime has changed. I’m sharing it as a macro analogy, not a guarantee.
