Savage Film is an independent production company that produces unique documentaries and author-driven drama films and series, with the aim to bring author-driven content to a broad audience. Founded in 2007 by Bart Van Langendonck, it established itself itself internationally with Michaël R. Roskam's BULLHEAD, Oscar nominee for Best Foreign Language Film. Robin Pront’s feature debut THE ARDENNES, another Flemish noir, and with first-time director Pieter-Jan De Pue’s hybrid docu-fiction THE LAND OF THE ENLIGHTENED, which premiered at Sundance. Later on Roskam's RACER AND THE JAILBIRD was launched at the Venice and Toronto film festivals and Tim Mielants won the award for Best Director at Karlovy Vary for his debut film PATRICK. More recently DEALER, Jeroen Perceval's feature film debut, was released. Currently in the works is: THE CHAPEL, Veerle Baetens' directing debut and THE CHAPEL by the Oscar nominated Dominique Deruddere.

Flemish minority coproduction Reflet dans un diamant mort, the new feature by Hélène Cattet and Bruno Forzani, has been selected for the Official Competition of the Berlinale 2025. The film is coproduced by Savage Film and sold internationally by True Colours.

John D, a septuagenarian living in a luxury hotel on the Côte d'Azur, is intrigued by his room-mate, who reminds him of the Riviera's wildest days in the 1960s. Back then, he was a spy in a world that was booming and full of promise. One day, this neighbour mysteriously disappears... and brings John face to face with his demons: are his old adversaries back to wreak havoc on his idyllic world?
