I’m late on this post but delighted to announce the 2021 fiction winners for the 3rd annual Filitsa Mullen Creative Writing competition, judged by Olga Nikolova and yours truly.

1st place- “I Am Not There” by Kalina Panayotova

2nd place- “Bare” by Hayley Ngoc Mai Nguyen

Both stories will be published on AUBG Today and, later this summer, at Fly in the Head. Congratulations to the winners and thank you to all who entered.

Hello!

As it is already August and the academic year begins in mere three weeks, we would like to encourage you to send your stories and poems our way before the classes (and the partying, unless you're a senior) squeeze the summer mood out of you. You can e-mail your works to [email protected].

We're currently reviewing material for this academic year's issue of the Fly. We'll be including a little surprise, too, but more about that later.
