ACHERON - Satanic Victory
ACHERON was founded in 1988 by vocalist/bassist/songwriter Vincent Crowley (formerly of Nocturnus). After three demos they recorded their cult debut album ‘Rites of the Black Mass’ in 1992 at Morrisound Studios with Scott Burns (Death, Deicide, Cannibal Co**se etc). Shortly after the debut they recorded the ‘Alla Xul’ 2 track EP. in 1992 with new members Tony Blakk on guitars (Druid Lord, Equinox) and cult Florida drummer Mike Browning (Morbid Angel, Nocturnus). Just after the recordings of their second full lenght ‘Lex Talionis’ album, Acheron recorded their cult 6 track mini CD ‘Satanic Victory’ in 1994. The booklet contains extensive liner notes by Vincent Crowley and rare pictures. As bonus comes the ‘Alla Xul’ 2 track EP, 8 tracks in total!

MEFISTO - The Megalomania Puzzle
MEFISTO started back in 1984 under the name Torment. Along with Obscurity, the two were the first Swedish extreme bands to follow mighty BATHORY. Both bands were of superior quality, however after just 2 demos, both folded as they were simply too early with their extreme music at the time and getting no support. MEFISTO since gained a cult status, heavily influencing the upcoming extreme music underground, especially the local Stockholm Death Metal scene. Featuring mega-talented guitarist Omar Ahmed, who delivered tight riffs and great solos, played out in a classic yet extreme manner, that to this day sounds fresh and relevant. Roberto Granath delivered violent drumming like only a few have before, and the singer Sandro Cajander did much deeper and harsher vocals than Bathory or Venom at that time. This deep / harsh style was later further developed by for example LG Petrov of Nihilist (Entombed). Extensive liner notes from Jon ‘Metalion’ Kristiansen from Norway’s legendary Slayer Mag. And exclusive liner notes from the Mefisto members! Album cover by Roberto Toderico (Soulburn, Hexx, Asphyx, Exoto).

ASPHYX - God Cries
Asphyx are true death metal legends from the abyss of The Netherlands. Their slithering, doomy aural hell had pleased the most lunatic brains among metal music freaks since 1987. The band broke up in 1995, but re-emerged next year with a new line-up featuring ex-vocalist Theo Loomans (played also all bass and guitars on this one) and forming member, drummer Bob Bagchus. This is the re-issue of Asphyx’s fourth full length album from 1996. Recorded in 1996 at Harrow Studios in Losser, Netherlands (Grand Supreme Blood Court Melechesh, Soulburn) by Harry Wijering. Being the only 90’s Asphyx album without guitarist Eric Daniels (who had just disbanded a totally different incarnation of Asphyx with Ron van Pol and Sander van Hoof), this album was written and recorded by original drummer Bob Bachus and bassplayer-vocalist Theo Loomans who also played all guitars. Extensive liner notes by Pim Blankenstein (Possessed, Sinister, Toxik) with founding member Bob Bagchus. Loomans turned out to be a gifted instrumentalist and composer (R.I.P. 1998).
