People, you showed up! ❤️

Yesterday we got to see IN RED for the first time on a bigger screen than a 📺

Honesties, stutters and love for everyone that made efforts to come was shared by the director…

Thee amazing crew that made it all happen and you all got to meet have kept on being incredible! These people, artists, who’re motivated and inspired to continue this journey and make this thing into a full feature are what has to be celebrated and applauded. You guys make it come true! Big big love you all! 🥰

A crazy good poster, made by , and also had the feedback it deserves! And everyone got their signature on it. 🖌️

And what about all those who couldn’t make it? This is not the last screening of course! We already have a date pretty much set. The 29th of May, and one more will be held during July! Everyone who didn’t see it and everyone who wants to see it again of course is invited! ✨

A short film is all talk if there aren’t people who believe in it. IN RED is held by the strength of so many wonderful friends and family that we all own a big thank you too! 👥👤👥

It’s the people who make a movie, and we just have the best of them. This is a post that shows the strength of numbers and of the people who believe!

It’s everyone. The cast. The crew. The PA’s. The Extras. The photographers. The financial support. The ideas people bring. The teachers The location providers. The moral supporters. All the ones who’ve appeared during casting. And now the viewers ❤️�
Without a mechanism, IN RED just wouldn’t run, and every single part in this one holds the biggest of importance! 🎬

And what about the cast?

People as magical as the fairy tale characters they embody. 🧚‍♂️

Without them, a scene cannot come alive. They carry the pain, the laughs, the depth and the fear. And you get to watch them do it all for free! 🎭

Elizabeth Marangozova, the complete and utter embodiment of what Rougette is. 🐺

Marinela Georgieva, playing Snow, as alluring and as dangerous as it gets ❄️

Rumen Troev, Luka, who could make the one he’s named after shiver…🐐

Niki Iliev, a proven professional in a light you haven’t seen him perform till’ now 🏹

Georgi Kraev, David, whose gaze pierces like a scissor blade 🔪👁️

Anna Petrova, The Grandmother, a voice like an echo at the dead of night 🌑

It’s not a race car until someone takes those individual parts and assembles it all, is it?
🏎️🏎️🏎️

IN RED’s editor, … Well, she is definitely one hell of a race car builder! 🔧

Taking on the post production for the film, Anna made the most memorable moments flow so, so well! She edited and reedited and even though she had a most challenging year, she made it all happen, she was there from the first moment the idea of In Red was formed and outdid herself a million times. Editing, helping with the script, producing and more! Not only that, but she handled a big part of the unit production management without even being in the country at all! So she’s not only a race car builder, but can easily be a top notch dispatcher 🛫

And what’s a race car worth if doesn’t go vroom? 🛞
, and can tell you. Not much. A power trio of sound design, they struggled with all things sound designers do and handled it all. Recorded whispers, screams and I wouldn’t exaggerate to say the flop of butterflies, while also making every editing transition flow nicer during post production. They all sacrificed so much, time, a car, an fpv drone and were the definite soul of the company throughout! Their skill goes without question, because the race car purrs.

The car needs a nice paint job too. , the colorist of the film did not disappoint! 🎨 A smiling gaffer on set, he was pre-planning how the colour grade will look and feel right then and there. After wrapping up production he took on the task, understood direction from a single call, did his magic and completed it flawlessly. 🏁

Аnd a little about the director and production team: … The guy’s been hoping this happens for years! As an aspiring director, his big dream of IN RED coming to life as a full feature film still stands strong! 🎬🐺

He wouldn’t be able to go through all this without .luk, who’s storyboarding and framing hyped and cleared the blurriness of IN RED’s vision, and who’s composition and visual skills enhanced not only the art direction, but the cinematography as well. 🎨

Diko Buchukov , the 1st AD, a professional who made this hard puzzle complete and skilfully assured that everything happened on time. Even against all chances, Diko’s creative thinking came in hand and saved a bunch of scenes from going completely wrong. Not only that, but the guy played three different roles for the movie! Give that man an Oscar! 🕵️‍♂️👨‍🔧💀

Teodora Nikolova’s every day kind persona can trick you, because her ruthlessness as a Script Supervisor is only to be admired. The cause of the director’s nervous breakdowns, she is somehow his favourite person as well. And like a hunter, tracks inaccuracies down and doesn’t let a single detail slip. The movie wouldn’t be the same without her! 📜🎯

The producer Martin Tonchev .tonchev, owner of Filmonade, did amazing things for this film and is still doing them for the project’s future. 📺📈

The Art Directors and were not far behind on the scale of slaying it. �
With Aleksandra Angelova taking on tough pre-production tasks and creating the amazing masks, it was Shani Ilieva, who strongly executed the whole plan during the production phase, took care of the wardrobe, flipped entire rooms upside down, chopped up trees left and right, being emotional support for the director and without exaggeration - did a thousand other stuff.

Both created some of the best set design no other project has seen! Soon, you’ll get to admire the amazing work they’ve done! 🎭
�But another essential part of an actor’s embodiment of a character is the make up💄

With bravely taking up the task to make everyone look perfect or terrible (when intended so of course), she gently took care of the entire casts faces and managed to make those beautiful people scary

And who’s to blame for the movie not being shot on a RED? ❌🎥

Peter Raijekov, you just had to be all technical and knowledegeable and choose a better camera, didn’t you 🙄

But we’re not mad at him!
He and his amazing cinematography team, masterfully captured everything and made it feel bigger and better than we all hoped it would be. The dedication and professionalism shown by these guys can be seen into every shot of the movie and they’ll definitely blow your minds!

The first camera assistant killed it. .list.a
The second camera assistant killed it double.
The gaffers and grip kept on killing it. , ,

Aaand we can definitely say is probably responsible for a whole massacre, being in charge of all that killing… 🎥🩸

Ironically IN RED was not actually shot on a RED camera 🎥 but the Short Trailer that made the movie happen was! ��Story time!�
With a strong vision in mind, IN RED’s main crew set out to create a trailer before the actual filming of the short movie. We wanted to show the strong base that we had.

That’s exactly what won us the support of the Natural Culture Fund in Bulgaria, it got us the financing needed and began our real journey!

Check out the short trailer that made IN RED happen, the potential it represents even then, and how happy we all were while creating it!
