A Victory Written in Light
In shadows deep where silence once had reigned,
A heavy stone, a sealed and guarded night,
Hope seemed buried, broken, and restrained,
While grief wore black and swallowed every light.
Yet in the hush, a promise stirred within,
A whisper rose where endings came to be—
What looked like loss was not the final win,
For heaven’s plan was set to set hearts free.
The cross stood firm like justice kissed with grace,
A love so fierce it paid the debt of pain,
Redemption wrote its truth on mercy’s face,
And poured out life like spring after the rain.
Each drop of blood a story of release,
Each nail a bridge that brought the lost back home,
What seemed like death became the door to peace,
A path where souls would never walk alone.
Then came the dawn that split the night in two,
The grave gave way, it could not hold its King,
The stone rolled back as light and power broke through,
And every heart that hears His name can sing.
O death, where is your sting, your final claim?
The silence cracked by heaven’s thunderous call,
For Christ arose, victorious in name,
Declaring life has conquered death for all.
So rise, dear heart, let burdens fall away,
No chain remains that faith cannot undo,
Step into grace, don’t linger in delay,
The risen Lord has made all things brand new.
Let every fear surrender to His light,
Let every doubt be silenced by His love—
For Easter speaks that wrongs can turn to right,
And broken lives are lifted from above.
