Request for records of parliamentary proceedings on the Supreme Court Practice and Procedure Bill

Islamabad: The court has called for the record of the parliamentary proceedings on the Supreme Court Practice and Procedure Bill.

An 8-member larger bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Atta Bandyal has heard the petitions against the Supreme Court Practice and Procedure Bill. Azhar Hasan Rizvi and Justice Shahid Waheed were involved.

Talking to the media, Aitzaz Ahsan has said that the PML-N thinks that the Chief Justice will be removed from the post through a notification.

He said that a Chief Justice cannot be removed by notification, if this happens, lawyers from all over the country will walk out. The fight is internal.

Speaking further, he said that if someone attacks the Supreme Court from outside, then all the judges are one.
