In white she dressed, our birthday girl Deepali Mittal
at Bahrain’s pristine Bilaj Aljazayer beach,
with laughter, colors, and surrounded by her closest,
she celebrated herself.
As the sun dipped below the horizon,
the sky painted with hues of orange and pink,
mirroring the joy in her heart
and that which emerged on her canvas
This was more than a birthday;
it was a heartfelt toast
to new beginnings,and embracing hope
through the divine feminine.

As we sat together, painting the setting sun,
nurturing our imagination and
deploying art to embrace our unique voices,
we laughed, connected, and forged deeper bonds.
In a world where we hustle and rush past the present,
this shared experience
fostered a sense of belonging,
reminding us that we are all in this together.
With brushes and strokes,
Immersed in color and creativity,
we found solace and tranquility,
letting art be our therapy.
We learned from one another,
celebrating every mishap and masterpiece alike.
"Oooooh—that’s beautiful!"- gushed one,
looking at another—
and then you contemplate,
'Wow, I didn’t see that coming!'
A beautiful reminder that
perspectives are everything.
Our critical selves managing
to see the colours of one’s own wings
-through the eyes of another.
And as the tides crashed and the sun set,
we settled in to sipping our hot chocolates,
matchas and salted caramels,
packing our little masterpieces to take home,
letting that laughter echo on the evening breeze
having spent a few glorious hours,
in the warmth of nature entwined with friendships.
