🚨BREAKING: “They’re Not Coming for Nnamdi Kanu — They’re Coming for You” — Obasanjo Warns Nigerians; “Nnamdi Kanu Just Happened to Be Standing in Their Way to Jihad and the Islamization of Nigeria”

He emphasized that Kanu’s resistance has been a major stumbling block to forces seeking to dominate and suppress other ethnic and religious groups across the nation.

“Without Nnamdi Kanu, the entire Igbo land would have been conquered long ago. Nigeria would by now have become a completely Islamized country, with other tribes living under submission,” Obasanjo warned.

“Even the Yoruba nation would have been swallowed if not for the loud echo of resistance Kanu created. Love him or hate him, he has been the stone that refused to move,” he added.

Court Orders Arrest of Former INEC Chairman Mahmood Yakubu for Contempt

The Federal High Court sitting in Osogbo, Osun State, has ordered the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to arrest the immediate past chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, over alleged contempt of court.

The order was issued just hours after Yakubu vacated office as INEC chairman. It followed a suit filed by the Action Alliance (AA) accusing INEC and Yakubu of failing to comply with an earlier judgment delivered by Justice Funmilola Demi-Ajayi in suit number FHC/OS/CS/194/2024.

The court had previously directed INEC to upload the names of the AA National Chairman, Adekunle Rufai Omoaje, and other members of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) on its official portal. Justice Demi-Ajayi also affirmed that the party’s elective convention held on October 7, 2023—which produced Omoaje as chairman—was validly conducted and duly monitored by INEC officials in line with the Electoral Act and the party’s constitution.

INEC, however, claimed to have complied with the ruling, but the Action Alliance disagreed, noting that Omoaje’s name was still missing from the commission’s website despite the inclusion of other NEC members and state chairmen.

In a fresh order dated October 7, 2025, and signed by court official O.M. Kilani, the court directed the Inspector General of Police to arrest Yakubu and initiate contempt and committal proceedings within seven days. The court also awarded ₦100,000 in costs against the judgment creditors.

Breaking News: Don’t ask what Igbos will do if he dies in detention — we will set Nigeria ablaze. Nothing will survive that land. We are watching every move and monitoring what’s going on. If anything happens to him, Nigeria will face a reaction it never imagined.

These were the strong words of an Igbo lady based in the U.S., a former U.S. Air Force officer, who sent a serious warning to the Nigerian government over the continued detention of the Igbo leader.

She said the world is watching, and that Igbos in the diaspora are not powerless anymore.

“If you touch him, the world will shake. We are ready — from air, land, and sea — Nigeria will feel our pain.”

Nigeria Seeks just $2bn China Loan to Build National Super Grid, Tackle Power Deficit — Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu

Nigeria is negotiating a $2 billion loan with China’s Export-Import Bank to fund the construction of a new “super grid” designed to resolve the nation’s chronic electricity shortages and stimulate industrial expansion.

Power Minister Adebayo Adelabu disclosed this at an economic summit in Abuja on Monday, explaining that the proposed transmission network will connect the country’s eastern and western regions — home to most of Nigeria’s industrial users. He said the project forms part of government efforts to decentralize power generation and encourage major industrial consumers who abandoned the unreliable national grid to reconnect.

“It’s part of our strategy to decentralize power generation and bring back heavy commercial users who left the grid because of its instability,” Adelabu stated.

Nigeria’s power sector remains one of the biggest obstacles to economic growth. Despite an installed capacity of about 13 gigawatts, the national grid delivers only a fraction of that to more than 200 million citizens, frequently s¥ffering system coll@pses. By contrast, South Africa, with a quarter of Nigeria’s population, generates around 70 gigawatts.

Adelabu noted that the widespread shift to self-generation now accounts for nearly half of Nigeria’s total electricity use. The planned super grid, he said, will boost transmission efficiency and deliver more power to industrial zones. The Federal Executive Council has already approved the project’s financing plan.

The initiative aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms, which include fuel subsidy removal, tax law overhaul, improved oil sector security, and efforts to enhance the financial stability of the power industry.

Adelabu also revealed that recent electricity tariff adjustments for urban consumers have strengthened revenue in the sector, rising by 70% in 2024, with projections to grow another 41% to ₦2.4 trillion ($1.6 billion) by year’s end.

Church of Nigeria Declares Spiritual Independence Over Appointment of New Pro-Gay Female Archbishop of Canterbury

The Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) has formally declared its spiritual independence from the Church of England following the appointment of Bishop Sarah Mullally as the new Archbishop of Canterbury.

In a statement issued by the Primate of the Church of Nigeria, the Most Rev’d Henry C. Ndukuba, the Church described the announcement made on Friday, October 3, 2025, as “devastating” and “insensitive.”

According to the statement, the decision represents a “double jeopardy” for the faith: “First, it disregards the conviction of the majority of Anglicans who cannot accept female headship in the episcopate; and second, it is deeply troubling that Bishop Sarah Mullally is a strong supporter of same-s+x marriage.”

The Church recalled Bishop Mullally’s 2023 remarks after the Church of England approved blessings for same-s+x couples, when she described the move as “a moment of hope.” The Nigerian Church said such views further d+mage efforts to preserve unity within the Anglican Communion.

“It remains unclear how someone who upholds same-s+x marriage can hope to heal the already fractured fabric of the Communion,” the statement added, describing the situation as evidence that global Anglicanism could no longer accept the moral and spiritual leadership of the Church of England.

Reaffirming its alignment with the Global Anglican Future Conference (GAFCON), the Church of Nigeria said it would continue to uphold biblical authority, the historic creeds, evangelism, and holy living—“irrespective of the ongoing revisionist agenda.”

The statement concluded with a call for conservative Anglicans in England and beyond to stand firm in defending scriptural truth.

“We encourage all faithful brothers and sisters in the Church of England who have resisted the aberration called same-s+x marriage to continue contending for the faith once delivered to the saints (Jude 1:3),” the Church said.

JUST IN: “The Igbos don’t need to fight the Yorubas in Lagos to win Lagos,” Obasanjo said.
“All they need to do is give a quit notice to every Yoruba tenant living in their various houses, terminate their jobs where they are the employers, and withdraw them from managing their lands as caretakers — and you will see Lagos become empty overnight.”

According to Obasanjo, the Igbos don’t need to fight the Yorubas in Lagos to win the city — their power is already rooted in ownership and investment.

He went on to reveal that most Yorubas in Lagos today live in houses owned by Igbos, and many of the properties across major areas of the city are now controlled by them.

“Let’s be honest — the Igbos have bought and built up a greater part of Lagos. Most Yorubas living there are tenants in Igbo-owned properties. That’s the hard reality,” Obasanjo added.

“Peace is not weakness,” he said, “but when you provoke a people who built your comfort, you risk losing it all.”

Breaking News: The only Igbo man I still fear up to this moment is Nnamdi Kanu,” Wike said. “This is not a political statement — it’s a pure fact.”

According to Wike, at the early stage, he had thought Nnamdi Kanu would be like Ralph Uwazuruike, but Kanu has proven to be different. “Money can’t buy him over,” Wike added. “The kind of money that has been offered to this man could pull his entire generation out of poverty forever — yet each time you go to him, he will tell you one thing: ‘It’s either Biafra or nothing.’”

Wike went on to describe Kanu as “a man you can’t kill, you can’t imprison, and you can’t keep down forever.” He concluded, “A man with such conviction will one day win, because faith that refuses to bow to power will always rise above fear.”

“When truth becomes your only weapon, no prison can hold you — and that’s why Nnamdi Kanu remains feared.”

CBN Sets ₦1.2 Million Daily Transaction Limit for POS Agents, Caps ₦100,000 for Customers in New Regulatory Guidelines

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has introduced new operational guidelines for agent banking, setting a ₦1.2 million daily transaction cap per Point-of-Sale (POS) agent and a ₦100,000 daily limit for individual customers.

The revised framework, signed by the Director of Payments System Management, Musa Jimoh, was released on Monday to enhance oversight, strengthen financial stability, and protect consumers. The new rules take immediate effect, while guidelines on agent location and exclusivity will become enforceable from April 1, 2026.

According to the circular all agent banking activities must now be carried out through dedicated accounts or wallets maintained by the principal financial institution. Using non-designated accounts for such operations will attract regulatory sanctions.

Agents found guilty of fr@ud or misconduct will face penalties, including blacklisting or contract termination. Financial institutions, referred to as “principals,” must also publish and regularly update lists of their registered agents on their websites and within their branches.

To ensure wider coverage, super agents are required to maintain at least 50 sub-agents distributed across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones. Agents are prohibited from relocating or closing their business premises without prior written approval, and a 30-day notice must be displayed before any move.

All transactions must now be conducted in real time using secure, interoperable payment systems that enable instant settlements and reversals during system failures. Transaction receipts must show the agent’s name and location, while audit and settlement records must be preserved for five years.

The CBN stated that the transaction caps are meant to curb misuse, enhance transparency, and safeguard consumers within the agent banking network.

Financial institutions are now required to submit monthly reports to the CBN—detailing transaction volumes, fr@ud cases, agent activity, and customer complaints no later than the 10th day of the following month.
