Bahrain based DJ & Producer. With a strong motivation, he got into these 15 years ago blinded by his love for electronic music.

After having performed and opening for recognizable DJs in the city. There’s a lot new he is learning everyday further sharpening his skills technically and musically. Residencies are the mark of any DJ, and as the once long-term resident of Sky Bar & Cocoon club in Bahrain, Tech house, Deep House specialist Derek John has well and truly made his mark. Not only did he soundtrack the hottest party

destination in the Middle East, he helped discover and launch the venue in 2014, curating the monthly Loco Barcelona parties which saw record attendances well into their. La Vinoteca events have since grown into huge, one-day festivals where Derek John has shared deck-time with some of the world's leading electronic music artists. Rewind 15yrs and you'll find a fresh-faced, budding DJ being approached to host his own show on Casa D’Costa radio station. Having honed his skills on the radio, Derek went on to win an Open Decks competition at Ibrida Club, before landing his first residency at Cocoon. After 2 successful years there, Derek left SkyBar behind, and embarked on the next chapter in his career in La Vinoteca Barcelona.
