🕊 Buddhism: A Path to Peace in Myanmar? 🌏
In a country where nearly 90% of people follow Buddhism, a powerful gathering has taken place—with hopes of healing and unity.
On July 12, 2025, the Buddhist Peace Academy convened at Thanlyin Sītagū Buddhist University near Yangon. Around 300 monks, university officials, and community leaders came together under the theme “Buddhism: A Solution for Peace in Myanmar.” Through scripture-based teachings, thoughtful chants, and collaborative workshops, participants explored how Buddhist values can bridge divides and foster interfaith coexistence.
This event wasn't just a one-day seminar—it was a spark of hope. HWPL and local partners are already planning online lectures and expanding peace education nationwide.
Your thoughts? Does Buddhism still hold the key to unity and healing in Myanmar today?
