My brother, Igbo is a NATION, a group of people with ONE culture and tradition, a Race with commonly understandable dialects and same ancestry
IGBOS are indigenous in 14 states of Nigeria, namely: Delta, Rivers, Enugu, Akwibom, Benue, Abia, Edo, IMO, Cross River, Anambra, Kogi, Bayelsa and Ebonyi states of Nigeria.
IGBOS worldwide understand themselves irrespective of the Igbo dialect you speak.
An Ikwerre man who grew up in Ikwerre land doesn't need interpreter to understand and even speak the Central Igbo fluently. The Ukwuani man doesn't need interpreter to speak central Igbo because it's biologically inherent in us all.
But none of us who claims Binin descendants can understand let alone speak Binin language. We have absolutely no affinity with Binin people, even our progenitors bear Igbo names. BINI'S are Yoruba descendants and this is why their deities are OGUN, osun, and partly borrowed Igbo deities, like Ekenga.
But over here, our most feared deity is AMADIOHA, our supreme God is CHINEKE, CHUKWU OKIKE. We all pronounce "COME" as BIA. this is what makes us one people of same ancestry. Why abandon your true ancestry and choose another due to selfish reasons? Enough! We are Igbos with unique identities.
I remain the Ikwerre man on a mission to Unify IGBO NATION.
