Senior poodle was abandoned in a box at a commercial ground.

Alone. Confused. Frightened. And already needing medical care.

But she is still fighting. 🐾❤️

Since coming into our care, we’ve started treating her eyes, and slowly, they are becoming brighter. For us, that little change means everything. It means she is responding. It means she is feeling better. And most importantly, it means there is still hope.

Now, she needs someone who will look beyond her medical problems and see the little dog underneath it all, someone willing to give her the treatment, patience and love she needs to recover.

She didn't choose to be abandoned.

She deserves the chance to know what it feels like to be wanted.

We rescued this poodle boy from the Kiarong area. He is wearing a collar, so he probably abandoned.

Sadly, he is currently suffering from a severe testicular tumour and mange and is now under treatment and care at our hospital. We’re doing everything we can to help him recover and get back on his feet. He slightly snappy & cranky probably due to the harsh street life.

📍 TNR Update – Sungai Akar

Our team successfully trapped and sterilised 4 community cats from the Sungai Akar Central colony under PawsUp's Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programme. ❤️

This is only the beginning. There are still more cats in this colony that we have yet to safely trap and sterilise.

Why is TNR so important?

🐾 Sterilised cats no longer contribute to the cycle of unwanted litters.

🐾 It reduces fighting, spraying, and mating-related behaviours.

🐾 Over time, the colony becomes healthier, quieter, and its population stabilises naturally.

🐾 It is the most humane and scientifically proven way to manage free-roaming strays populations.

A common misconception is that removing cats solves the problem. In reality, when cats are removed, new unsterilised cats often move into the vacant territory, restarting the breeding cycle. TNR breaks that cycle while allowing existing cats to live healthier lives.

Every cat sterilised today prevents countless kittens from being born into hardship tomorrow.

On 23rd July 2026, our community was shaken by a heartbreaking viral post from the KB area.

Several innocent puppies were found tied inside a rice sack and left to suffer. The post spread quickly, and compassionate members of the public rushed to the scene, hoping they could save them.

By the time they arrived, the puppies had already been released. Terrified and disoriented, they ran in different directions. One frightened little soul was seen running along the highway, trying to escape after the trauma. Thankfully, some of the puppies managed to reunite with their stray mama nearby.

A kind-hearted rescuer, Amanda, safely secured the frightened pup from the roadside and brought him to PawsUp. We have named him Max.

Today, Max is safe.

He is still nervous. Loud noises make him flinch, and slowly learning that not every human will hurt him. But every gentle touch, every warm meal, and every kind word is helping him believe in love again.

We believe that one day, Max will bloom into the happy dog he was always meant to be.
