The Digital Brunei Council is pleased to announce the release of Digital Brunei 2030: The Digital Brunei Transformation Plan — a five-year national masterplan setting Brunei Darussalam’s direction for digital growth and transformation through to 2030.

Under the theme “Together Towards a Digital Brunei,” the masterplan marks the next phase of the nation’s digital journey, building upon the foundations established by the Digital Economy Masterplan 2025 in support of the long-term aspirations of Wawasan 2035.

Digital Brunei 2030 brings together four key national strategies under a coordinated framework: the Digital Government Strategy, Digital Society Strategy, Digital Business Strategy, and the cross-cutting Data and Artificial Intelligence Strategy — strengthening alignment across government, industry, and society towards a more connected, innovative, and future-ready Brunei Darussalam.

The masterplan also outlines the delivery of several national digital initiatives through 2030, including the Gov.BN SuperApp and Citizen Portal, National Business Services Portal, BruneiID, Digital Payments, AI-capable data centres, and the development of a Brunei-context National Large Language Model.

Previously known as the Digital Economy Council, the Digital Brunei Council was renamed in August 2024 by His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, reflecting the nation’s broader vision towards a digitally empowered future.

Be part of the journey towards a Digital Brunei.

Held on 8 May 2025 at the Knowledge HUB (KHUB) Building, Anggerek Desa, Startup673 Inspo Day brought together aspiring innovators, students, and members of the public for an engaging, hands-on experience in creativity, problem-solving, and rapid idea development.

The workshop introduced participants to the fundamentals of design thinking, ideation, and prototyping, empowering them to explore real-world challenges and transform ideas into tangible solutions.

Through interactive ice-breaking activities, ideation sprints, and group pitching sessions, participants collaborated in teams to develop and present their concepts. They also received valuable feedback from facilitators, helping them refine and strengthen their ideas.

Serving as an entry point into the Startup673 ecosystem, Inspo Day opens pathways for continued growth. Selected participants will have the opportunity to further develop their ideas through Pitch Please, a platform dedicated to refining and presenting concepts, and may also progress to NATHACK Cycle 4, where ideas are expanded into more developed solutions.

Have you ever found it difficult to stop scrolling once you start?

It’s by design. Features like endless scrolling and autoplay remove natural stopping points—keeping you engaged longer, and increasing ads.

Take back control: set screen limits, take breaks, and log off intentionally. Stay present.
