Planning an Ireland road trip? 🇮🇪
These are the stops we’d make 👀
🇮🇪 7-Day Wild Atlantic Way Road Trip
Day 1: Galway
Day 2: Kinvara → Cliffs of Moher
Day 3: Bridges of Ross → Carrigafoyle Castle → Bromore Cliffs
Day 4: Blennerville → Connor Pass → Waterfall → Radharc na mBlascaodaí
Day 5: Gallarus Oratory → Di**le Peninsula
Day 6: Ross Castle → Torc Waterfall → Bantry
Day 7: Bantry → Copper Coast
Start your Irish adventure in Galway 🇮🇪
Wander the city, grab some food and enjoy your first taste of Ireland.
Time for the coast 🌊
Stop in Kinvara before heading to the incredible Cliffs of Moher.
Cliffs of Moher
Give yourself plenty of time here rather than treating it as a quick photo stop. The coastal scenery around the cliffs is one of the highlights of this stretch of the Wild Atlantic Way.
A day of hidden gems ✨
Clare Coast → North Kerry
Start with Bridges of Ross
Then make your way towards Carrigafoyle Castle
This is a brilliant change of scenery after the cliffs, a historic tower house overlooking the Shannon Estuary.
Bromore Cliffs
This is one of those days where I’d leave plenty of time for spontaneous roadside stops. The coastal roads are part of the experience, and you don’t want to spend the whole day watching the sat-nav.
Di**le is where the scenery gets seriously good 🤩
Mountains, valleys and dramatic roads replacing the open coastal scenery.
Take your time here. The views across the Blasket Islands are exactly the kind of scenery you want to leave room for on this road trip.
This is one of the places where it’s worth getting out of the car and exploring rather than just pulling over for a photo. Gallarus is a remarkably preserved early Christian stone oratory.
Head toward Killarney
This is a great first stop especially if you arrive with enough time to enjoy the lake and castle rather than rushing straight through.
Torc Waterfall gives you a completely different landscape from the coastline.
Finish the road trip in beautiful Bantry 🌊
Take it slow, enjoy the scenery and soak up the last of the Wild Atlantic Way.
One last coastal adventure 🌊
Finish the road trip in the stunning Copper Coast before heading home.
