As a way to celebrate and to thank my first thousand followers on Mixcloud, I've decided to upload a classic 'Essential Mix' compilation I did about 20 years ago.

This 2-CD DJ-mixed compilation is something I was commissioned to create by UK label Ffrr around the year 2000, the purpose was to illustrate a 25-year slice of dance music history from my perspective as someone who has lived through most of it in NYC's underground clubs. Listening back today, it still sounds pretty fresh and relevant to what music has become 20 years later.
Rather than posting the two CDs separately I decided to make them smoothly transition into one long seamless mix. For those who want to just listen to CD #2, start play from 01:15.52
