Her amber eyes shone with a blend of anger and sadness as she cast a reproachful glance.

“You said we were going to the city aquarium… but it looks like you got busy with the other girls.” Her voice was small but heavy with hurt, as if each word weighed in the air. “Am I not important enough to you?”

She turned her face away, trying to hide the faint blush rising on her slightly swollen cheeks, but the disappointment was clear—a feeling that only a short girl like her could express with such sincerity and intensity.
