Out of the 4 unforgettable nights I spent at Pousada Pouso Alegre, I dedicated two to exploring the mesmerizing world of astrophotography! 🌌✨
Here’s the result from the first night, and soon I’ll be sharing the shots from the second attempt.
It was a truly unique experience — a deep connection with nature and the starry skies of the Pantanal! 💫

bom dia pessoal trago noticias do campo, ja entramos no mes de agosto, e com isso, tambem ja temos as belissimas piuvas florecendo nos proximos 15 ou 20 dias em toda regiao do pantanal! essa foi a minha foto! mal posso esperar para ver a sua ! ate mais !

lembrando que sou a favor do caminhão safari apenas nas dependências da pousada!

Good morning, everyone! I bring news from the field. We've entered the month of August, and with it, we can expect the beautiful Tabebuia trees to bloom across the Pantanal region in the next 15 to 20 days! This is my photo! I can't wait to see yours! See you soon!!!

Just a reminder, I support the use of safari trucks only within the confines of the lodge!

I am very happy to have finished another jaguar tour in the Pantanal in the delightful company of Roy ToftToft. Everything was wonderful! We chased cats, dogs and even polar bairs !!!

One is little, two is good, and three is even better.!!!While guiding my last group of the season this year with Anellie, we were incredibly fortunate to come across three King Vultures perched on the same tree by the Pixaim River in early November. It was a spectacular trip! Visit the Pantanal! See you in 2024! Happy New Year!

Galinha-d'água
A galinha-d'água é uma ave gruiforme da família Rallidae. Ave aquática das mais comuns em várias partes do Brasil, escasseia na floresta Amazônica e, surpreendentemente, não é muito frequente no Pantanal. Conhecida também como galinhola (Rio Grande do Sul), jaçanã-galo (Nordeste), peituda (Rio de Janeiro) e frango-d'água. Antigamente tratada como subespécie da Gallinula chloropus, do Velho Mundo. ( wiki Aves )

The Common gallinule is a gruiform bird belonging to the Rallidae family. It is one of the most common waterfowl in various parts of Brazil, although it is scarce in the Amazon rainforest and surprisingly not very common in the Pantanal. Also known as the 'galinhola' in Rio Grande do Sul, 'jaçanã-galo' in the Northeast, 'peituda' in Rio de Janeiro, and 'frango-d'água.' It was previously treated as a subspecies of the Old World's Gallinula chloropus."

Apesar do fato de que este cachorro-do-mato (Raposa-do-Campo) tenha aparecido muitas vezes este ano, no lugar e na hora errados, ele é incrivelmente bonito de perto. Não é o meu favorito, mas é adorável! Se você tiver uma foto bonita da raposa, por favor, deixe-me ver. Elas são impressionantes! Feliz Natal e um Próspero Ano Novo!

Despite the fact that this Crab eating fox ( Foxelot) appeared many times this year, in the wrong place and at the wrong time, it is incredibly beautiful up close. It's not my favorite, but it's lovely! If you have a beautiful photo of the fox, please let me see it. They are stunning ! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year !
