Most business owners don’t fail at online advertising because Facebook Ads don’t work.

Let me break it down using Facebook Ads as a case study.

Selling online with ads is actually one of the easiest ways to grow a business—if you’re willing to invest smartly in marketing. And no, you don’t need a huge budget to start.

For example, let’s say you’re starting with ₦3,000 daily ad spend.
Here’s exactly what I would do:

• Create 2 different high-quality flyers or product creatives
• Write 2 different ad copies (yes, even with ChatGPT)
• Run both ads at the same time

Why two ads?

Because you don’t guess what works—you test.
Testing helps you discover which creative and copy converts better before you scale your budget.

Now, here’s where many people get it wrong 👇

Your ads may not bring ready-to-buy customers immediately, especially if you sell high-ticket products (₦10,000 and above).
People don’t always buy the first time they see your ad.

They need to:
• See you multiple times
• Trust your brand
• Understand your offer

That’s how online advertising really works.

So don’t turn off your ads too quickly and conclude “Facebook Ads don’t work.”
Learn how to test, read your metrics, and give your ads time.

Understanding what the numbers are telling you is the real skill.

Before an ad starts converting, Facebook needs time to learn.

If the creative needs improvement

Or if you simply need to be patient

Most campaigns people turn off too early are actually high-converting campaigns in the making.
They just couldn’t read the signs.

Pay attention to these 4 things if your Facebook ads aren't converting.

✅ If you're getting clicks but no sales, your offer sucks or your funnel is broken. People are interested enough to click, but something on your landing page is killing the deal. Fix your copy, simplify your checkout, or make your offer actually worth buying.

✅ If you're getting zero clicks, fix your creative and copy. You need to grab attention in the first second or you're invisible.

✅ If you're getting engagement but zero sales, you're attracting the wrong audience. Fix your targeting.

✅ If your cost per click keeps climbing while no sales, Facebook is punishing you. The algorithm rewards ads that convert.

Is it better to nurture your leads inside a group chat or talk to them one-on-one in DM ?

Both work, but it depends on the kind of relationship you want to build with your leads.

If you want mass engagement and you want people to trust you faster, a group chat is great. People see results from others, they ask questions, they interact, and the trust builds quickly.

But if you want deeper conversations and you want to close high quality prospects, one-on-one DM always win.

When you start your copy with:

This Gender Targeting Trick Saved My Client’s Ad Budget.

If you want to run ads and your target audience is only one gender, here’s something I did recently that improved results for my client that wanted people to join her hair revamp class.

Instead of assuming Advantage+ Audience would target only women, I manually selected female only during setup. The ad ended up showing to 98% women, and the leads were very quality because the targeting was specific.

So next time you’re setting up an ad for a product meant for only men or only women, make sure you select the gender manually. It makes a big difference.

This is a lead generation campaign and it’s only getting better working with my client.

Her page is still new and hasn’t gained traction, so she couldn’t run ads directly from it. She even had to share her Facebook login details with me so I could set up the campaign through her profile.

We haven’t even spent up to a quarter of the Ad budget, yet the results are already looking solid 😁😁
