I saw this idea on TikTok and thought it was too good not to share! My chicks were getting too big for their tote, and I was nervous about them knocking over the heat lamp. So I turned a large dog crate into a brooder by putting cardboard under the bottom, bending it up the sides, and zip-tying the heat lamp to the top. They are so much happier now and love having room to stretch their little wings! 🐣🏡💛

I ordered some Vanillaroma Little Tree car air fresheners on Amazon and put them in my coop today 🐓🌸. When I went out to gather eggs, I couldn’t believe it — not one single fly or gnat anywhere! The coop smelled amazing too, so that was definitely a win 🙌✨
I also hung one in my kitchen over the sink where the fruit flies always seem to land on dishes before they get put in the dishwasher… and tonight, no fruit flies! 😂🪰🚫

I need some advice! My chicken run is so muddy, and my girls are having to walk through it. I’m really worried with how cold it’s getting because I don’t think it’ll dry out on its own. Wind chill is supposed to be 9° tonight and even colder tomorrow night. What’s the best quick fix to help dry it up or give them a better place to walk? 🐔❄️

One of our girls was egg bound, and the egg broke while I was putting her into an Epsom salt bath. 😢🐔 Now she isn’t really moving and keeps doing these long, slow blinks. We’re really worried and not sure what to do next. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. Please be kind, this is our first time going through something like this with chickens. 🙏💛

Help! I have no idea what is going on with my chickens, and I’m really worried. 😢🐔 A few days ago, I woke up and found 3 chickens dead in my coop. The next day, one of my chickens became puffed up, lethargic, and was just standing around, then by the following day she was gone too. This morning, I noticed one of my roosters acting the same way — puffed up, weak, and just standing there. Has anyone dealt with this before? What could be going on, and what can I do? Please be kind, I’m scared and just trying to help them. 🙏💔
