I know absolutely nothing about plumbing
I was washing my hands and saw water leaking out from under the sink. I looked and saw water leaking from this hole pretty much right under the drain plug (or whatever it’s called). What I’d like to know is possibilities as to why and what can be potentially be done to fix it?

Outdoor spigot/faucet parts
Can anyone tell me the name of this part?

This thing has a slow leak when water is shut off. Can i buy a replacement piece to put in there or do i need to replace the whole thing.

**Concrete is wet bc i watered a few minutes ago. The leak is not that bad but it does leave about a 3-5 in circle on the concrete at all times.

Corroded shut off value.
I have a line running to a urinal in my basement that is corroding and allows a small steady flow of water through when completely closed.

I am thinking to remove/replace the value and cap off the line since it splits off from the main line and joined in before a line leading towards the hot water tank.

Can anyone point me in or provide advice or links to solid resources so I can learn how to fix/replace this properly?

Or am I out of my league and should call a plumber? If that's the case, how much would a job like this run?

How to remove handle?
No Allen wrench or top loosener. Do I have to loosen the base cause it wont budge and can't get a wrench to grip it at all. Any tips? Ty

Kitchen sink, is it possible?
How would I go about installing a kitchen sing on these hookups and does it look possible to just install new lines and pipes without much work? The kitchen sink area was not in use for years and I was wondering if maybe that hot waterline inlet pipe( the crooked one) might be problematic. Thanks for the advice.

Is this normal?
Im renovating my house and im adding a bathroom does this look right? The drastic slopes going everywhere is making me uneasy. The p trap is right at the walkway at face level. The plumber is coming back out tomorrow to finish this and he is just roughing it out until we finish the remodle. Im just curious if this is correct or if im overreacting as I envisioned straight pipes and not a jungle gym of pvc.

Need Help!!!
So I just bought this house about 4-5 months ago, and in one of the bathroom sinks, this sharkbite set up just BLASTED off this pipe(appears to be iron?), spewing hot water all over the place. I shut the hot water off for the house to stop it, but obviously I wanna get back up and running asap. What sort of set up should I go for? Parts, part numbers, etc would be helpful. Obviously very new to this. Just not sure why they went the route of a shark bite on a non copper or pex pipe.

Am I overreacting?
Our sewer line disconnected outside the house and was leaking into the ground.

Had a company come out and they said we needed to have all our drain pipes replaced from copper to PVC and a new connection to the sewer.

They just finished and I’m honestly kind of shocked at what they’ve done for the drain pipe in the laundry room.

Is this normal to deviate from the previous pipes path and just go straight across the room like this? Not sure if I’m just overreacting but I would’ve expected a conversation about it first considering we were home the whole time.

Update Sep 19, 2025 - Thanks everyone for taking the time to look and providing feedback. I have called the original senior technician from the company today and provided him with a list of all the things mentioned here as well as asking about the permit/inspection we were advised about previously. He said he will be taking it to management to see what they can do to make this right, so I suppose now all I can do is wait and see.

Update #2 - Got an automated text from the lender saying the plumbers requested a payment from our line of credit for the work and we had to approve or reject the request. Spoke to the lender and advised we aren't approving it until after everything is settled with the plumbers. Called the tech for the plumbers and advised we aren't accepting the request until the issues are solved. Tech says they will definitely be fixing the issues and permits/inspections will be happening going forward. But also says it will be Monday before we get contacted for solutions. Also found out that these guys in fact DIDN'T touch the floor joist, it was that way already and looking at the pictures of it previously, it's true. However, then this raises the question for me as to why it wasn't mentioned or pointed out during the quote or the repair. So it's going to be a long weekend of waiting for more information on Monday.

Mixing Hot and Cold Lines?

We moved into a new build home and realized our water was coming out of our faucets luke-warm to cold. Went downstairs and followed the supply lines from the outside and the water heater and realized the hot and cold line plug together at a spot roughed in for another bathroom. The construction manager told me that their plumber said this shouldn’t cause any issue and it might be a bad water heater. I’m no plumber but my brain is telling me I’m staring right at the problem. Any input from anyone with experience? Thanks in advance!

Can I fill this drain in my basement. It’s filled part way up with hard clay and doesn’t seem to serve much purpose
