But seriously how come there are so many heartbreak songs but none of them are about non-romantic love?

Obviously romantic heartbreaks are hard, but for me the most painful heartaches I’ve experienced actually have nothing to do with romance. No one warned me about the heartbreak of slowly losing touch with friends you thought would always be around, or realising you’ve outgrown a place you once called home…

Adulthood comes with way more heartbreak than I expected, and not the kind that people always talk about! And what really caught me off guard is how invisible these heartbreaks are…

People talk so much about romantic heartbreak that at least you get to grieve loudly. You have all the movies and songs to help you through it too!

But nobody really checks in when you’re grieving the life you thought you’d have, or when you suddenly feel homesick for a version of life that doesn’t even exist anymore. Life keeps moving, nobody really notices, and it’s as if you’re expected to just quietly move on too…

Everything I ate during my long haul flight from LA back to Indonesiaaa ✨✨

Thanks again for flying me back home! I lived in the states for 5 years between 16 and 21 and I used to dread these long haul flights. I’m really bad at sleeping in transit so this was a nice change… I can’t believe I actually enjoyed a long haul flight! 🥺

But also now I’m angry at bc how do I go back to my ✨economy minus✨ life after this? 🥲
