This one is really special 💚 Thanks to all your support for the Amazonic, we managed to donate 35 musical instruments to the children of the Tribo Witoto.

The Instituto Witoto is a women-led Indigenous organization in Parque das Tribos, on the outskirts of Manaus. It’s the first Indigenous community officially recognized in an urban context in the Amazon, home to around 700 families from 35 different peoples, speaking more than 16 Indigenous languages.

Through their School of Ancestral Knowledge, they keep their culture alive with music, dance, body painting with jenipapo and urucum, Indigenous fashion, ancestral cuisine and community-based tourism.

Thank you so much to everyone supporting Sounds of the Earth, to our dear partner since day one Celdo Braga, and to Wanda for caring for these families with so much love.

We believe that in the middle of this chaotic world, music is the universal path that unites us and brings hope to keep moving forward 🌍✨

The Amazon Rainforest faces threats from deforestation and wildfires, impacting the world's climate and biodiversity. We must raise awareness, support sustainable practices, and pressure governments and corporations to protect this vital ecosystem for a sustainable future.

Hi everyone, here

The world feels like it's going through a tough time. Hearing about the terrible things happening, like the attacks by Hamas terrorists, the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia, and the struggles of people in poor countries, is really saddening. And the recent news about hundreds of pink dolphins dying in the Amazon River is just heartbreaking. It's a huge loss, taking away almost 10% of the total Botos in just a few days.

I want to make it clear, this isn't a post about Bolsonaro or Lula. Both have their share of blame and their hands aren't clean. It doesn't really matter who they are, because our politicians in Brazil have a long history of being dishonest. I still have hope that one day, the Amazon will be cared for by people who truly value it.

For now, as a fellow Brazilian, I urge all of us to think about the situation in the Amazon and find ways to support our beloved nature.

Here's a photo of me paddleboarding in the Amazon when I lived there. The Black River was my special place, and I'd visit almost every week. It's important that we protect this beauty and not just rely on politicians, because they won't do enough.

Sending love!

The Amazonic

Our world was created from beautiful melodies which lies within nature's depths.

The world was created from beautiful melodies which lies within nature’s depths. In order to achieve self awareness and to connect with their gods, our ancestors sought to replicate the sounds of nature.

Those sounds were also used to survive in the wild, hostile environment. Nature’s mystical essence and those mysterious, magical sounds have been lost over time…

Until today!
