Buckle up, folks 🚘💨! We're taking you behind the scenes of our epic journey through the heart of Brazil's Savannah. This adventure, in collaboration with a French TV documentary crew, led us to explore some of the world's toughest roads and meet extraordinary people along the way.

Our route traced the harsh, soy-exploited, and deforested areas of Brazil, where tales of struggle are as abundant as the broken-down cars that line the roads. 🏜️🚗

Two encounters stand out from the rest. In Jalapão, we met a determined truck driver stuck for 3 days in the sands, hauling supplies to build a football field ⚽️🚛. Further north, in Piauí, we crossed paths with locals making the long journey to and from the nearest town with their groceries 🛍️. Each encounter, a testament to the resilience of the Brazilian spirit.

This journey took us deep into the Cerrado, Brazil's tropical savannah. A biome just as vital as the Amazon rainforest, but less recognized, the Cerrado is a world of biodiversity under threat and a battleground for environmental preservation 🌳🌍.

Sometimes, the most remarkable locations are hiding in plain sight, waiting to be rediscovered. Today, we're taking you behind the scenes at one such location - the Gávea Tourist Hotel, Rio de Janeiro.

Located in São Conrado, this once-luxurious construction started in 1953, was designed to be a sanctuary for the elite. However, the construction halted in 1972 and since then, it has been a monument of dreams unfulfilled, standing tall amidst the lush greens of Rio.

The views are extraordinary, offering breathtaking sights of Pedra da Gávea and Pedra Bonita. And though it may seem abandoned, we at Camelô always ensure to make all necessary contacts with the rightful representatives to provide a structured and safe exploration for our clients.
