Live Nation is set to build South America's largest indoor music venue in São Paulo, Brazil.

The São Paulo Arena will be built in collaboration with planning officials in Cidade Center Norte, a shopping and entertainment district in the north of the city.

It will be able to hold 21,000 people and, according to the announcement, will be Brazil's first purpose-built arena; Live Nation claims that the venue will host "around 200 events" per year upon its completion, which is estimated for 2028.

"São Paulo deserves an arena that reflects the energy, passion and cultural influence of one of the world’s great cities," said Michael Rapino, President and CEO of Live Nation Entertainment.

The announcement comes amid several legal probes into Live Nation and its subsidiary Ticketmaster for its alleged "monopoly" of live events across the US, UK and Europe in recent months.

In May, the Business and Trade Committee called for fresh investigations into Live Nation after a report found that it controlled 58% of the 23.1 million primary tickets sold in 2025.
